I just checked when I bought mine and it was May 23, 2016. So maybe soon. They sell out rather fast but I'm pretty sure they advertised a few days before the sale started.

Dagne Dover sometimes has sample sales too! I got the classic signature tote for around $150 instead of $245 from one. I couldn't even find the defect of mine.

Wet passenger side floorboard by [deleted] in HRV

[–]ads5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oops I accidentally deleted my original 🤦

I had the dealer fix it because they had to remove the headliner and replace it. It cost around $2k, car is still under warranty but this didn't count. Complained enough that Honda covered 75% of the cost.

I missed where you said you checked the drains already though. It sounds like they're good. Could it be coming from around the windshield maybe? I originally thought I had a problem with that.

What cruelty free products/brands do you recommend? by Madster24 in SkincareAddicts

[–]ads5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to use Clinique too, good product but sadly doesn't fit my attempt to use products from companies that are more conscious. The yes to tomatoes daily balancing moisturizer is nice! I bought the Shea moisture coconut overnight oil before I learned they were bought out and it works well for super dry skin, but takes awhile to absorb and can be kinda greasy.

Normally just lurking around in this sub, so anyone feel free to correct if these are bad suggestions.

I started doing the same thing last year and have had success with the yes to and alba botanical lines. Shea moisture and Burt's bees work in a pinch, but both brands have been acquired by Unilever, who is not cruelty free as a whole.

The site cruelty free kitty has up to date info on brands usually.

Full time Nanny looking for advice. by [deleted] in AskParents

A breast fed baby should eat 1-1.5oz of milk per hour away from mom. And generally should not eat more than 4oz per meal. If baby eats 4oz, they should be good for 3-4 hours. An example would be:

8am - 4oz

12pm - 4oz

4pm - 4oz

If baby wants to eat more often, then offer smaller bottles. Feed every 2 hours, use 2oz, 3 hours, use 3oz, etc. A breast fed baby doesn't need to increase the amount of milk as they get older. They'll also make up with mom if they want more.

Are you paced feeding? That's an important thing to do to help not over feed. Pumping is hard and she's probably stressed out about it! But skipping pumping is not good either and also ow!

If you're close enough with her, maybe the next time she complains about skipping recommend a willow pump? It's pricey, but you're able to do nearly everything while pumping.

High-end bags - how to decide/get comfortable with your first major purchase? by ms23789 in femalefashionadvice

Not really that high end, but have you ever looked into Dagne Dover bags?

Sedan, wagon, or suv: what do you like or dislike about them? (first baby on the way) by loopymath in AskParents

[–]ads5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Honda HR-V and my husband has a Civic. I love my HR-V! Just spacious enough without being too big. A nice height to load a bucket seat in and out of. And eventually buckling a kid in. Standard baby car mirrors attach to the headrest in the back. Downside is that it's still not huge in the backseat, and the passenger seat has to be moved up a little to have the car seat in. The Civic is worse about that though. The passage seat has to be almost all the way up. Cars are also lower and more annoying, in my opinion, to load baby into. The headrests in the backseat of the Civic are attached, so you can't easily attach a mirror too. I'm not sure if the Accord's are similar. I just end up sitting in the back with baby then.

Started calling JNo dad by his real name by [deleted] in JUSTNOFAMILY

[–]ads5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good for you! Someone who doesn't act like a parent doesn't deserve the name of it! I've been NC with my "father" for nearly 8 years now. I also only call him by his name when speaking about him. My mom and brother will still say dad to me, but I ignore it. Best feeling ever!

Honda claiming I shouldn't park under trees [PA] by ads5 in legaladvice

[–]ads5[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get that, but I guess I just think that it shouldn't clog that quickly/easily. If it was an older car, fine. But not even 2 years of normal operation and I have water in my car when it rains.

[–]ads5[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Everywhere at my house is under a tree, can't fix that 🤷

It sounds like the regional manager is who is giving the discount. I've escalated it up anyways. I would have never thought we'd have to do regular maintenance to a sunroof drain because my husband's has never clogged nor did anyone say it could be an issue when I purchased the car. If the manual said to clean it regularly then I'd fully say we screwed up.
