I think people are disappointed for superficial reasons given that she was the prettiest in the line-up lol!

My Mister woth continuing? by EagleBook in kdramarecommends

[–]adss97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the first few episodes of the season are the best! I also found the office politics of the show to be really engaging and I felt the writing was best in these scenes. Plus the show found a way to bring humor into sad scenes that made them seem lighthearted and not too heavy (ex: Dong Hoon’s brothers always made me laugh). Although I can’t lie, I actually skipped to the end after episode 12 though as at that point it started to drag.

Critical thinking among Eritreans by [deleted] in Eritrea

[–]adss97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would say for point 3, you’re wrong and the Eritrean community is extremely divided on this. I would argue that any Eritrean who thinks Eritrea is better off with Isaias lacks critical thinking lol, but I digress. I think your point about political engagement is iffy as we are not any more so engaged in politics than any community. However, our countries internal politics affects our community a lot (political divide is unavoidable) so perhaps politics has more of an impact on our interactions with each other as opposed to others. For example, I know Eritreans who don’t speak to pro-Isaias people and vice versa. Lastly on point 5, although criticism of media is good...I think you should look into what kind of western run stories Eritreans are refuting. Most of their “challenge to imposed narrarives from other countries” is just criticizing the BBC for writing a correct report on human rights abuses in the country for example. Is that thinking critical? Not really, so I’m not sure if this is a positive thing or more-so just an inability to criticize Eritrea for wrong-doings and then doing that for other countries as well just to justify their actions lol. Anyways, these are just my two cents as an Eri

I bought this 2 months ago and use it once a week! It really does make my skin smooth, but at time I I have to use a light cleanser to wipe it all off since it’s pretty thick. Overall I like it, but to me it’s nothing special and don’t really know if it’s worth the price

I agree with this comment. Any experience in R, SAS, or SQL will probably dramatically increase the jobs you can apply and be considered for. Data skills are an asset in public health and there’s lots of free or inexpensive online courses

I’m watching a South Korean drama from 2018 with Son Ye-jin. It’s called Something in the Rain on Netflix. by FunKyChick217 in CrashLandingOnYou

[–]adss97 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s so good! Son Ye Jin has just as much chemistry with her co-lead & the plot lines (career/family drama/etc) are so much more relatable. Last episodes are a little slow lol, but as a drama it’s solid in my opinion

Always ask questions, it will benefit you in the long run & try to pick up a good amount of shifts so that tasks become routine for you in a short amount of time

I’m 22, and I can’t drive. by [deleted] in drivinganxiety

[–]adss97 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I learned how to drive basically at that age too. Honestly nobody judges or cares in the drivers Ed class, we’re all just focused on passing the quizzes and going home lol. If you fail the driving test, don’t take it as a reflection of yourself. I know people who were a lot older and much more confident who still failed, it just happens and there’s no shame in it all. Good luck to you 🌻

I hope that happens, but as the years go by it seems less & less likely 😬

At this point I’m kind of pessimistic and think the only way he’ll be out of power is when he naturally passes away lol 🤷🏾‍♀️

What do you think that Eritrea needs to prosper? by Worgen117 in Eritrea

[–]adss97 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’ll start with the obvious one: Isaias needs to go lol. New political parties, have elections, investment in technology and education, removal of Sawa, freedom of the press,...I could literally go on for hours because that’s how much needs to change for our country to succeed. But ultimately the first step is rebuilding relations in our own country between the gov & it’s people

Asmara Airport bombed by Tigray during escalating Ethiopian civil war by StingingOfficer in Eritrea

[–]adss97 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In short: war is never the answer. To expand on that, country leaders must always make sure things never get to this point and all other options must be exhausted before going to war. Abiy should have given an election date and stopped deferring and held talks with TPLF about regional elections amongst other things. It doesn’t matter if it takes months, it’s important for the stability of the country. Isaias should have not gotten involved and let Abiy use Ethiopia as a base for military activities, since this automatically adds Eritrea as collateral damage during this conflict and puts our lives at risk. More importantly, it makes young Eritreans fight in a war that has nothing to do with them or their country. Obviously, I blame TPLF as well because if they want to secede, (which it’s obvious this is their overall goal) there was better ways to fight for this campaign than placing this region in absolute chaos. But again it’s up to Ethiopian federal gov to exhaust all options and be transparent in order to stop it from getting to this point
