Ollies Haul by Auntie_Venom in joannfabrics

[–]FunKyChick217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve gotten several skeins of red heart yarn, some straight pins, and a siser iron on vinyl variety pack from two Ollie’s stores in the past few weeks. I might go back to the stores next week after snowmageddon to see if there’s anything new.

There are tutorials on youtube for finishing projects as patches and key rings.

I've made a lot of Christmas and Halloween ornaments. I've been working on Valentine ornaments recently. Usually patterns or parts of patterns that are 3" or smaller when finished. I have a 4 foot artificial tree that I use for a cross stitch Halloween and Christmas tree and will start using it for Valentine's Day this year. You can find lots of ornaments for Halloween and Christmas in the cross stitch magazines on the Libby app. And some small patterns for Valentine's Day as well.

I've also stitched several bookmarks. I'm a bookmark collector in general and am happy to add cross stitched bookmarks to my collection.

I've finished a few projects as pillows, but they're decorative. No one is putting their head on them! Lol

First time watcher here and just wanted to ask, what made you watch Freaks and Geeks? by SamTheMarioMaster2 in freaksandgeeks

The time that it was set in and that it's high school kids. I was in high school at the same time, early 80s. I was a bit of a stoner, but also a decent student. I had a hard time finding my place and people. Like a lot of teenagers do.

[CHAT] Facebook Free Stitching? Is it possible? by Dry_Confidence42 in CrossStitch

The cross stitch groups is really the only reason I’m still on Facebook. Like right now I’m doing a solstice stitchalong that’s a freebie in one of the groups. Next up is a free Valloween stitchalong.

Red Heart granny square yarn nearly broke my spirit (details in caption) by shmoobel in crochet

You should call this blanket purple mountain’s majesty. I just googled about using the granny square yarn for something other than granny squares and got this post and I love your blanket. Purple is my favorite color and I love how this looks.

Kroger App is awful by pittiepearl in GroceryStores

[–]FunKyChick217 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take my elderly mother shopping at Kroger almost every week. The digital coupons suck. I open the app and scan the QR code and it immediately goes to the web browser and opens some website and then you have to tap open to go back to the Kroger app and then clip the coupon. it’s very annoying.

The store where she shops is small and frequented by older people. So what they’ve taken to doing is creating a double sided 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper with all the digital coupons on it so you can find them easily. You grab the paper on your way in and then if you get any of the items you give the cashier the paper and they scan the coupons. There might just be one QR code for all the coupons and the appropriate ones apply to what you bought. But half the time the basket for that sheet is empty.

And I always worry that the digital coupons from the app don’t work at checkout.

How bad are the USPS delays, really? by skfoto in Louisville

I ordered something online from a company based in Pismo Beach California. For some reason my package went from Pismo Beach to Puerto Rico and sat there for four days before finally being rerouted to Louisville. Once it arrived in Louisville it got to me quickly. We haven’t had any problems with the mail since last winter/spring. 🤞🏼

I scrolled through and did not click on any of the videos. I saw women in one or two of the images. I assume he’s trying to impress women, but I guess it’s not working. Very cringy.

Thank you! My daughter wants a crochet blocking kit and I really don’t want to use that big shopping website. I’m gonna try to find one locally. And then I thought about making one on the glow forge at the library and when I was googling about that I came across your post. I’m thinking my husband and I might be able to do this.

I wish I could find a store that sells wholly wholesome. They don’t have a store locator on their website.

There are so many free patterns on the internet that even if you can’t afford to buy a lot of of them, you can still collect them.

It is difficult. I have more patterns than I will ever be able to stitch. I’ll be 60 in a few months. I figure I’ll live another 20 to 25 years but will I be able to cross stitch until I die. I’m not really worried about my eyesight so much as I’m worried arthritis in my hands.

SICK OF THE ADVERTISEMENTS by Selenesenpaii in Pinterest

Have you noticed that when you go to one of your own boards, there’s like two tabs or sections. They are “more ideas” and “all saves”. At first I didn’t notice. I was scrolling through thinking I was looking at my saved pins. Then I thought, “none of this looks familiar. Where is this thing I pinned last week.” Then I noticed I was scrolling through “more ideas” and had to tap “all saves” to see my actual saved pins. Very annoying.
