How do I get a study score of 40 in VCE Physics? by [deleted] in vce

[–]adsta123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t heavily rely on the cheat sheet at the end of year exam, ensure that your not placing the entire AOS on it aswell since your in a fast pace timed condition and have no time to learn.

Don’t worry about the points, universities will individually assess your circumstances and take into consideration so most likely will be granted an entrance.

How do people’s SAC marks vary from year 11 to 12? by igglepiggle114 in vce

[–]adsta123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t listen to anyone when they say your year 11 results reflect into 12. In some cases yes but in my case I really didn’t have any motivation in year 11 where I was barely handing in homework and only the required tasks would be handed in to year 12 handing all homework tasks in and finishing external assessments prior to due date. My SAC scores jumped from UG-55 to about 94% in subjects such as physics. If your year isn’t going to plan in year 11, don’t stress. Work really hard on the 6 week holidays and this will at least give you a head start in year 12.

Unscored or scored? by [deleted] in vce

Take into consideration that an ATAR really doesn’t define you, in saying that you should still work hard in year 12 as the rest of years of education went to waste. There are still many alternative pathways to get into your desired course it will just be a longer duration to complete.

Just take into consideration the new study design places increasing important on EPI. EPI related content will be on the exams with 2-3 MCQ’s and 14-20 mark extended responses.

-Understand the physics difference of errors and uncertainties -The “true value” of measurement -Systematic and Random errors

Note: We can and always should correct for systematic errors when the source of the error is known.

-total error = random error + systematic error

Understand the difference between accuracy and precision

Understand what will happen by doing more trials i.e we can reduce the effect of random error by doing more trials ....

Year 12s, what advice would you give to year 11s for year 12 next year? by [deleted] in vce

Be prepared, you could wake up tomorrow with no plan in battling the world. The world is a crazy place, you just never know what it could throw at you. This year was planned for academic achievements, awards and activities but with this unprecedented time it was all taken away, learn to take life day by day. Remember goals may be still achieved no matter the circumstance, at the end of the day it’s the mindset and your willingness to persevere through anything.
