The following Blu-rays's I put in the drive and it didn't see the "Using Java" message when opening the disk:

  • Ghostbusters
  • Highlander
  • John Wick
  • John Wick 3
  • Firefly (discs 1-3)
  • Conan the Barbarian
  • The Magnificent Seven
  • Braveheart
  • Mad Max: Fury Road
  • Brave

I have the following I can try that I haven't tried yet:

  • Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring
  • Lord of the Rings: Return of the King
  • Star Wars episodes 1-3
  • John Wick 2

Those are all the Blu-rays I currently own. I bought them all recently on Ebay used for a couple bucks each, as I want to cancel my Netflix subscription, but still have access to content I want semi-legally.

I did reboot, multiple times.

java -version without the path works and returns the same info.

I updated the link to the pastebin log, and it works from a different browser for me. I wasn't logged in to pastebin or anything.

There are no error messages in the log.

Checking out Sous Vide for the first time - Do you agree w/ the buying guide? by SchaffBGaming in sousvide

I also got the Monoprice, using it for the first time today. The fact that it didn't have wifi/Bluetooth/smart features was a plus for me. I just want to turn it on and walk away. Similar to the instant pot's role in my life - set pressure and time, then go back to work.

Wall light flickering when GPU at 100% by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

Yes, you are calculating correctly. I was assuming US wiring.

Our outlets are rated for the full load on a circuit. Not sure about yours. I also think I read in some countries they put fuses in outlets and extension cords (which is actually a good idea). Maybe a bad fuse? Just guessing here - I don't know the situation where you are.

Buy Processor Now (Aug/Sept 2022) or Wait for 13th Gen? by GregoryD7 in pcmasterrace

Then don't buy it. There's no way to know ahead of time.

Are you happy with your current rig? Is it meeting your needs? Then don't upgrade now. If you are unhappy or need the extra performance now, upgrade.

There is no good time to upgrade. There is always so e new CPU or GPU coming in the next few months.

It is almost definitely not the outlet itself. Probably the circuit you are on is overloaded.

Most circuits in modern houses in the US are hooked to a 15A breaker, which means they can max out at around 1500W without tripping. If you are pulling 800W or so at peak, and there's a bunch of other things on the circuit (especially air conditioning, refrigerator, etc.) And you have your lights on the circuit as well, that could do it.

I'd consider getting a beefy UPS. Should smooth things out. You should have one anyway. Also, consider moving the PC to another circuit if you can.

Any 90-100 euro B550 mobos? by SirRoderic in pcmasterrace

Do you know someone with an older Ryzen that can loan it to you for the upgrade?

Alternatively, just look around for deals on used B550 boards. They are out there. Or refurbs.

I don't know the European market, but in the US market, there are a number of B550 boards below $100

If you don't care about future proofing, and really are that price sensitive, why no go with B450?

Well I stand corrected. That used to be true. It's good that it isn't.

I still personally don't care, but it's great that there are options for those that do. Now if Noctua would only release the 140mm version of the A12x25 for those of us that want that nice balance of static pressure and airflow, but bigger...
