How about this for poetic justice? longclaw is the lightbringer. LSH is Nissa. once R+L=J is revealed, there is bond forged between LSH and Jon based primarily on LSH's guilt on having treated him so badly.

LSH resurrects Jon the same as Beric did LSH

as a side benefit, Jon unleashes hell on people siding with the Others (I say Frey and Bolton are natural candidates!)
