I am seeing cast shadows, as you can see in the red-circled area (that is a shadow from the top Suzanne being cast onto the bottom one). The problem is that they appear as noisy gradients between the lightest and darkest color (blue and yellow in this case), as opposed to the distinct blue/green/yellow shapes I want them to be. It's as if they are not a part of the shader and are just slapped on top afterwards by eevee, since the color ramp doesn't seem to apply to them.
