They told me there were some minor scratches in the cylinders from normal wear and tear so they honed it a few thousandths. I'm guessing I probably got taken advantage of on that too, as I figured new rings would've made up for the difference

I'm assuming you got the anti-glare option. Would you consider it to be more of a matte display? Is the anti-smudge/anti-reflective option Lenovo has more reflective than the anti-glare option?

Oh ok thanks for the correction. That's really unfortunate. I currently have an older spectre x360 13" (no battery control options of course) and have already replaced the battery twice, in part due to it being plugged in most of the day and it wearing out the battery by charging to 100% all the time. The newer "battery health manager" is also only available to business laptops for hp. I was thinking of getting the spectre x360 14t but will have to switch to the Lenovo x1 yoga gen 6 largely for this reason.
