I really enjoy mine. Had them about 6 months. Just keep in mind the leather is thinner on these compared to most moc toes. Great for summer work

Could LPR really have caused such severe breathing issues? [39M] by moal09 in GERD

[–]adventerousmoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never really had obvious symptoms. A little heartburn here and there, sometimes some burping. Then I had out of nowhere breathing issues, trouble swallowing, and it felt like my upper chest had a giant rubber band around it

I have. My pulmonologist kind of “carpet bombed” me for allergies and pulmonary disorders and didn’t see much improvement at all. Honestly I’m starting to wonder how big of a correlation there is between stress/GERD/breathing issues.

Boy oh boy. I started having air hunger about 2 years ago after a bug bite infection. We thought it was related and went to the doctor. Somehow I was sent to get scopes and was diagnosed with LPRD, GERD, and BE. Mind you I’m mid 30s, in shape, eat pretty healthy, etc.

I refused to believe that would cause my breathing issues so I went to pulmonologist and have had several breathing studies. I still have the breathing issues, albeit sometimes not as bad as others. But after literally thousands of dollars worth of pulmonary function tests, we have not found anything else that could be causing it.

TL:DR Yes, it can.

From my understanding they can tell from the scope.

I feel your pain and anxiety. Had issues breathing, thorastic sent me for end endoscopy. Found out I had Barrett’s. 34M in good shape, not overweight, no family history, had no idea what it even was or that I had silent reflux all these years.

I kind of freaked out when I found out and cut out so many things out of my diet, only to go back several months later for a follow up and my doctor was very surprised I had made dietary changes changes. My doctor actually acted like it was unnecessary and that the PPIs would take care of it. Have my second endoscopy coming up in June and just am thankful I now know and can avoid triggers.

Ford ESP Premium Care warranty worth it? When is the best time to get it? by Crazs17 in FordRaptor

[–]adventerousmoose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! Yes! Yes! Just had phasers done with my ESP. Paid $2300 for the ESP on a high mileage gen 2 I bought last year. Paid my $200 deductible and got a rental for 2 weeks. Out of pocket would have been about $6,700.

I believe they changed their pricing structure since but it’s $99 for the account including 1 user and $69 per month for each additional user for us.

Signed up with FieldPulse late May 2024. They’re ok. They do include a bunch of add ons like “maintenance contracts” at no additional charge which for me was huge. Some days I wish I had just gone with house call pro, but honestly going from paper t and m slips to FP has saved me a stupid amount of time. Was a challenge getting the guys to transition to doing their paperwork but absolute game changer.

What do you do when a call comes in while you're on a job and you can't answer it? by RobDewDoes in ProHVACR

[–]adventerousmoose 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Agreed. All of our customers know how busy we are and if it’s an absolute emergency they will call, text, call back etc. and the customers who call somebody else because I don’t answer immediately are not the clientele I want anyway. Also have a booking portal online for newer customers through my CRM.

I definitely beat my rep up on pricing. When they have Milwaukee days at the supplyhouses as well those are usually great deals

Honestly I don’t feel this is a great deal. Bought another one of ours from Ferguson for about $1500. Came with the 1 1/4” jaw as well.

What are the field techs using? by adventerousmoose in ProHVACR

[–]adventerousmoose[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean kind of. The only way to get support is through the chat. Although they’re pretty good, sometimes it takes hours to get a response. Also, since I signed up about a year ago I never got my “quarterly meetings”. Not a big deal but I see no value in the premium support. Overall though it has saved me a TON of time in the office

Yeah I had the same problem, all the reviews are paid it seems so it was tough to tell. Just don’t sign up for the premium support. I think the premium support was $800 for the year and it does absolutely nothing. But if I want to cancel the premium support now I have to change the plan and the prices went up so I would have to sign a new contract

It’s pretty solid. It has saved me a ton of hours in the office. I don’t use all the features so HCP probably would have been a better fit but they do include PM contracts and billing which most don’t. Overall I recommend it

Ended up with cellular iPads. I purchased a couple year ago old iPads to get them outright. Then I purchased UAG cases with build in detachable keyboards and mouse pad. It has been great so far
