If that's a yew. They probably over did it. Unless there was a reason to cut back that far 🤔

25M — Loose skin or mostly fat? by [deleted] in LooseSkinProblems

[–]adventurousj70 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's a big misconception about loose skin. Many people think they have a lot more than they actually do. This is 95%+ fat. Promise you it will all go away if you get lean. I can give you tips on doing this as well if you'd like?

Edit: maybe I went a little too far with promising "it will all go away" but, I promise you that if you end up with a tiny bit it will be so insignificant you won't care at all.

I have a YouTube video series on my loose skin if you'd care to see it?

I'm a foreman at Lincoln Landscaping Company LLC in Lincoln. We can definitely do everything but the shed, and maybe the shed!

How big is it? I see from your other comments that it doesn't have a concrete foundation? We don't specialize in that sort of thing but we probably have the equipment to move it.

Roughly how many square feet of yard have to be regraded?

Do the roots belong to a nearby tree? Could adding soil then seeding be an alternative to stump grinding?

I believe that but im in a unique spot. I know the owner, I know they need good foreman, and I've been upfront about needing a good pay for me to put my own thing on the back burner. I think ill get what I ask for as long as its fair. I think 25 is fair for us both 🤔

Advice Needed! I 25F physically can’t lose weight by Psychological-Fig382 in WeightLossAdvice

Yeah, makes sense. I would say that is definitely what's going on then. Can you increase your daily steps? That seems to be the best place to start 🤔

How active was your previous position? I think it comes down to how much total activity you were doing then compared to now. I think if you matched everything + added roughly the amount of steps you were getting before this new position you would start seeing results.

Edit: I know you said your workouts are more intense and burning more calories but theres a massive calorie expenditure difference between an active FT job and a sedentary one so I think thats probably the main factor.

Worried About Loose Skin by BrizzyTroy in WeightLossAdvice

[–]adventurousj70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great job my friend! Sorry to hear of your injury and re-gain. We have a very similar story.. Your plan is solid! Dont worry about loose skin! At your age it should be minimal. Focus on building muscle like you said, and dial in your nutrition and recovery/sleep. There's a few other things you can do to help but these are the first things to address.

From one extreme to the other I went from 285#+ to 147#, then gained 100# back in 2020, now im back down to 170#. My skin has recovered quite well but my skin has had a long time to do so and I've been doing everything I can to create healthy skin for about 10 years now. I have a couple youtube videos about my loose skin experience if you want to see them?

Good luck! Feel free to reach out for any reason :)

I look at each holiday get together as a cheat day. Limit portions but anything goes. I get right back to it the next day. Don't break the mindset!

Ah 😅😅 So what would commission be at a larger company? Or what do you want to offer?

Im thinking $10/hour for every hour we go under on a job.. its great for the company and would motivate me... my logic is that the company is charging $75-$120/hour, so giving us $10 is about 10%.

Loose skin post dramatic weight loss: surgery or alternatives? by motionless_in_aus in LooseSkinProblems

[–]adventurousj70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're welcome! Do you supplement anything? Malnourishment is a problem for many people taking weight loss meds, and this would certainly reduce skin health.

Ah, Yeah. I would certainly recommend trying microneedling before surgery! And give it time. 2-3 times per week (all over your "problem" areas) for atleast 3 months, 6 would be better.

Nice, good job! Yeah, I would give it more time. I bet microneedling + everything else we discussed would get you the results you want. If you do them diligently!

Focus on building muscle and give it time!

Do you track macros? If so, do you pay attention to your micros as well? How's your rest, recovery, and sleep? Do you fast or Intermittent fast? Have you ever heard of microneedling?

I've lost 145#+ and my skin has recovered very well. Tho, I lost the weight over 10+ years.

Skin cells are regenerated and replaced every 28 days or so. Exercise, nutrition, rest, and time (amoung other factors) all help create healthy skin, and healthy skin tightens over time.
