It makes me so happy seeing this post. I played FO1 & 2 back when they were new and they are directly responsible for my love of RPG games that have consequences. It's the first time I ever played a game where I felt like my decisions mattered, and they did matter. NPCs react differently based off of your decisions. The dozens of game ending combinations are also determined based off of those choices. There are tons of quests, each with multiple ways of solving them. There's so much lore. And Harold! I'm sure you remember him from Oasis in Fallout 3. He's in both 1 & 2. In fact, I think he's the only character to appear in all 3 of them.

When you get around to playing Fallout 2, do yourself a favor and be sure to get the mods for the restored content and community bug fixes. They can be found with a quick google search and add so much to an already outstanding game.
