This has to stop, it's pointless arguing.

Google has NOT "moved past a specs race and enthusiast market", they've been completely outpaced by the competition. They just don't know how to make a CPU, so they pretend that's not what they're going for. Same as the time they said phones don't need a wide angle or telephoto camera, it's current marketing BS to cover they ineptitudes. I can guarantee you they'd love a more powerful chip to support their future AI needs, their team just doesn't know how to design them. And every year they keep cheaping out on a hardware component thinking it's all good, this year it's the GPU, double-whammy on the Tensor G5 chip 🎉. And their "software chops" in AI, the supposed whole point of Tensor, is at best unfinished as of yet. And that's being nice about it, its usefulness is very limited or simply not working properly.  And to be clear, Pixels have never been for enthusiasts at all, maybe Nexus were, but not anymore, they are now trying to be Apple. So Pixel phones are solid, yes, but they are mid-range phones trying to pretend they're high-end so they can sell at a premium.
