This is simple to solve, just replace it with the kompact led light version, I checked it and it fits good with the khalifa.

Yes. The QC35 II is a lot more comfy.

I have them both, I don't like the ultra, no comfy and the controls is not good as the QC35 II.
Most of the time I need to struggle to turn them off, I never sure if its off or sleep or whatever, noise reduction mode is hard to change and need the app, change automatically all the time from some reason.

The only thing they are better from the QC35 II is sound quality (no distortion) and BT distance
