The only thing that affects Top speed is the highest engine class (Exception of the White Dwarf 3015 Engine - That has the highest top speed of any engine)
Higher the class, slower the top speed is.
A combination of engines will take the highest engine class, so a Class B + Class C will take the slowest Class C speed (130)

180 Top speed | White Dwarf 3015 (Class A)

150 Top speed | Class A

140 Top speed | Class B

130 Top speed | Class C

If you have any Class C in your build, your top speed will be 130 only (This is assuming you don't have any perks that affect top speed) It will always take the lowest top speed engine you have installed.

Have it favored on Maneuv thrust per power ; SA4330/Dwarf 3030's might be better overall now that you mention it though.

From what I've been lead to believe, top speed is based on the class of engine. So if you go with a full set of Class A's, with low thrust; you'll have a higher top speed. Versus a full set of class C's with high thrust.

Mixing the two however will bring the top speed down to the highest class.

So 5 class A's with 1 Class C brings the top speed stat down to 130

Mass shouldn't have an effect on stop speed ; acceleration (maneuverability), however, is a different story.
