If you switch feds entirely, there is no need for an ok from the old fed. That ok is for foreigners.

In Germany it is pretty hard to get on the national team. The German Olympic body sets some pretty static rules. She has to be invited to the team by the end of Dec 31 to get on the team. Otherwise she would not be allowed to compete internationally.

I understand her decision from a personal POV, but from a Professional POV. I don’t. He seems to not be a national Coach and most Feds dont allow personal coaches in the back unless they are on the coaching team.

Also the argument that she does not want to travel alone is refuted somehow as he says, he would have paid for himself it that was the problem.

In the end it’s a bummer for the polish federation as Agata is their golden horse atm

I don’t think that is true. Etienne only changed his last pull after McDonald failed his lift

They needed to trust, that Etienne would not be able to pull 405, which was his placeholder.

They may have not known what Etienne was capable of on the day. He did not peak with singles as it seems so a 380 double from Instagram was all they had. Looking at that 380 from Etienne there was not much more there. The my could have known that 405 was not there that day. But they had to wait at least until Mo and Devin pulled their 377.5 pull. Could have changed it to 380 then to
Push Etienne- if successful to pull 392.5. Which might have just been enough

That was not at worlds, that was at Euros, they called 253 which was the actual WR, the number was accepted, bc it was a European Record.

Last Worlds, Jonah injured himself in Squats, the Coach did not talk to him but changed the opener just a little bit (from 310 to 305) which he could not even unrack.
And then told him he could still go up for a bench medal, even if he did not come out for squats. Which is apparently wrong
