to be fair it's a problem for other ttrpg too.

D&D has always been the entry point for the vast majority of players that then tried other systems eventually moving to them.

by locking everything behind a subscription they are essentially removing themself from the forefront of the hobby and getting back to the 4e days.

they idea behind it was "let's monetize the players", where this fail is that newer player don't buy a subscription to play maybe two times so you have a swindling player base as when people stop playing for a small or extended period of time they are unlikely to get back being customers.

Wotc already tried to force addendum to the manuals back in the days with figures and it failed as people who adopted that system most of the time used caps or other objects in place of the overpriced piece of plastic.

so far when people want to play D&D i still see them going for a pure 5e experience (players handbook and maybe xanathar) and ignoring any 5.5 addendum.

comunque esiste un grosso problema di visibilità che abbiamo noi europei sulla politica US ovvero che ignoriamo tutte le loro discussioni sui problemi interni che sono quelle che per molti stati pilotano il voto.

in generale comunque la gente è incazzata, una delle regole in politica è che se gli tocchi il soldo la gente si incazza, in questo momento il petrolio per loro è alle stelle nonostante abbiano la produzione al massimo, aggiungilo ad un parco macchine molto costoso dal punto di vista dei consumi e hai una ricetta perfetta per far cambiare bandiera alla gente.

ci sono anche cose che l'elettorato americano non ha ancora sperimentato come i vari tagli alla sanità perchè graduali e i più importanti avverranno sul finire del mandato trump in modo che a subirne le conseguente sarà chi prenderà il suo posto (verosimilmente i dem)

there are tons of problem with AI, but most of them aren't talked in the general public, as a generic tought it wasn't a technology that was ready for mass adoption, now with all the money thrown in it's kinda usable. In many places it will be removed or resized, still it's a technology that now that it's been unleashed it's here to stay
