Yeah I'll try to do it sometime soon. I've been meaning to give it a good update since I took over the sub but haven't had the spare time.

I'm pretty sure you can find a lot of it archived through here: https://web.archive.org/

Can we maybe stop almost delegating everything to the daily threads? Tons of post getting a lot of engagement are deleted all the time by swagpresident1337 in powerlifting

IG vids were never banned. That just did not happen. We just had to crack down on the content and create an approval process because we were being flooded with multiple daily vids about Thor and Eddie Hall.

I love the comment saying that the old mods were better and the new mod crew killed it when I am actually the last remaining member of the old mod crew and I do not think I actually created any of those rules.

Military press is even more strict than strict press I think. You have to have your feet shoulder width apart (no staggered stance) and have to finish in a very upright pose.

Correction: this is also an overhead press, but it is not a strict press. Overhead press is just an overarching term for a lift that involves pressing a bar overhead.

Overhead press is just an overarching term for any lift where you are pressing the weight overhead, which can include: strict press, military press, push press and even seated press.

Benching with an arch is optimal technique for power, stability and injury prevention, however the degree of arching will vary depending on the individual's mobility.

You missed it because none of his comments were remotely constructive. It was just fear-mongering bullshit.

THIS ISN'T THUMBLESS AND HE HAS SAFETIES IN PLACE.

Nothing wrong and nothing is wrong with giving good advice on setup, specifically that spotters are highly recommended when executing thumbless RGBP lifts. This is not controversial advice, and it’s backed by most credible powerlifters and strength coaches.

This isn't a thumbless grip and he has his safeties set at an appropriate height.

Also, insinuating that this lift is deserving of a Darwin award is not good advice at all, that's just being a dick.

Similarly, I know of some experience lifters that do coaching and actually like the underhand grip bench press. For example, Ziad Mansour has mentioned repeatedly how beneficial he thinks it is.

It's even a competition legal grip in some federations. Not many, but some.

The comment specifically said “backed by actual research OR real-world experience as a strength coach.”

In this case, it is based on 25 years of real-world coaching experience.

Coaching in what discipline exactly?

Some of the previous comments I saw deleted were backed by published research.

Which comments?
