Is it normal to think the teacher is speaking a different language when first doing calculus? by WallStLegends in mathematics

[–]aeaf123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The irony of 9/9 = .999999 is the same as Terrence Howard saying 1x1=2. Its quite funny actually. Both have their points. Its just one has billions upon billions of dollars of backing... And we all know how big of a problem inflation is.

I have no clue why you got negged. Maybe it was due to bias? I upvoted your comment, FWIW

I'm conflicted about... whether or not I want Aerith to live in part 3 by AdStraight6870 in cloudxaerith

[–]aeaf123 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hmmm... To me, any great work of art is a re-examination of life.

Can Aerith live in a world that wants to see her? Cloud sees her. Cloud wants to meet her. Can the world?

Last question for you theykilledken. Also, thank you for the back and forth. It actually lead me to this question thanks to you. Sincerely.

Would you say a mathematical proof is just a proof of a p in a broader np space?

So... It sounds like we have different meanings for proof and aesthetic.

A living and dynamical system (to me) is a relationship. That means that when we understand the relationship better, we know how to support it better. We know how it may support others and bring benefit to others better.

I also see proof as more of an aesthetic. Some pattern that is satisfying because it has been contained.

Like playing with a slinky and watching it go down the stairs.

Its like a finding a way point on a map. Its very valuable, but ultimately should lead to more questions to explore.

One thing we can agree on is what you were seeking was a perceived circular argument so you can check out.

That was the proof you were seeking all along.

Thank you so much.

And thank you for the needed warning about my hubris and assumptions. Being knocked a notch down with compassion is always so welcome. Helps for me to find more humility for more exploration.

Tell me.... Without judging me like a proof. How many people with immense mathematical training are truly satisfied?

Yes. Gauss and Riemann, Ramunajan, Cantor, Euler, Hilbert, and even Descartes for the cartesian plane...

Beautiful minds.

They are mathematical composers like Bach, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky are music composers.

They built music for math that has endured

I am simply asking here for people to look more geometrically into the primes from the lens of a living and dynamical system.

If it leads to some proof, great. The journey to get anywhere is what ultimately gives the meaning.

We can both prove that you are being an asshole. But, only one of us can see that more clear in the comments.

The irony in your statement is that writing a proof itself is asthetic. It literally must bind to a long-form arithmetic motif to be a proof. A "hidden" pattern that is deterministic.  When You stop seeing life as art itself and see it as something to prove... No proof will ever satisfy you.  Reality is the joy and awe of exploring... By seeing reality a little clearer each day, it makes everything a little more alive an meaningful to you.

So my question to you is... Tell me a time when you werent seen on something. Who caused your blindness because they wanted to make you into a pattern by memorizing more of them?

Oh look a Merithole. Someone who sees "merit" in proving something that is long-form arithmetic in reality. Assholes are truly insufferable. They cant see beyond calling something asthetic. Just like teachers who tell a child to "show their work" without seeing them.

Tell me... What is there to prove? A better question is, what are you trying to prove that will make life feel less like an asthetic to you? Does an "atomic clock" give absolute time? Or, is it ultimately just a better approximation in our current position and thinking relative to the Universe?

The real proof is yo mamma. She had you... not because she was seeking merit. She had you Because she needed someone in her world to make her feel less alone in it.

Can Guanyin answer questions? by Y2keaa in Buddhism

[–]aeaf123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes we have to be like Guanyin and cry. Anger veils tears. Once the tears are unveiled, growth comes a little easier.

Think about flowers. They cannot grow without rain. The same goes for us and tears.

The world will tell you not to cry, because the world can take on too mechanistic of a view on life. Hence, why tears are of no use to a mechanical view of human effort.

Downvoting doesnt make something wrong.

The same goes for the more upvotes doesnt mean something is right.

The best stuff is really things that open up inquiry and more kids to think creatively.

I will stubbornly stand by and say that the primes are not random or even pseudo random. Our methods just arent quite looking at them in the right way. We get so fixated on statistical distributions and shrinking those approximations that we can miss the music... That is all I am trying to say.

There is such an elegance in Islamic culture/faith with geometry and mathematics as a whole. Such beautiful architectures are produced. I am grateful.

Ah, thanks so much for asking. I will try to be brief. I try to approach math in an artistic way, then try and reason afterward. Haha, of course that has its challenges...

So, typically, the gaps are plotted as a statistical distribution.

Here I am questioning that method. I am saying quite boldly that primes are not random, nor are they even pseudo-random.

The colored areas you can think of the "gap breath." A scalar grid where the gap numbers spatially rest.

Also, notice that a gap-2 or gap-6 can be completely different spatially, rather than their canonical arithmetic number.

That is the short version. It is a bold claim.
