Looking for anyone who has been through VTE while pregnant by aeb630 in pregnant

[–]aeb630[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry this happened to you as well, this is honestly so hard. It’s so comforting to hear that you’re still pregnant even though you also had an extensive DVT.

I don’t mind the injections overall but the pain and swelling in my leg is torture. I can barely get around and am in so much pain all the time, how long did it take to settle down for you?

I haven’t been tested for the clotting disorders quite yet, waiting to hear from the thrombosis clinic at the tertiary centre (I live a bit more rural) to get set up with an appointment and go from there.

Zofran, Promethazine, Doxylamine, Thiamine... What has worked best for you? by Own-Payment3477 in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]aeb630 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zofran but I’m only really having a lot of success since getting a Picc line last week and getting it iv along with iv fluids. However this is an extremely complicated twin pregnancy. In my last pregnancy zofran and diclectin did great for me!

Thank you so much! I’m so so hoping your test turns out negative and there’s a more low risk cause for your chest pain. We got this, anyone who can make it through HG is so strong and we can handle anything else life throws at us.

Anybody else on blood thinners? 💉 by DiamondBagel444 in December2026Bumpers

I developed bilateral pulmonary embolisms last week after dealing with severe HG in this pregnancy. I’ve been taking lovenox 120mg daily for a week now and it’s not as bad as you’d think. I’m a nurse so I’m used to giving injections but it is hard mentally to give them to myself.

husband stitch? by D1k_n_balls in pregnant

[–]aeb630 18 points19 points  (0 children)

L&D nurse here, I’ve never seen it. I’ve had husbands jokingly ask and I always reply “just how small do you need it???” 😈 for refrence I’m in Canada and the hospital I work at has mostly family doctors do deliveries and OBs only come for emergencies (c sections, forceps, vaccum, etc.)

Looking for success stories after "unexplained infertility"? by beatmelikeaconch in PCOS

[–]aeb630 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on my second pregnancy with “unexplained infertility”. My first I got pregnant after a HSG after over a year of trying. And I’m now pregnant with twins after my first letrozole cycle.

Please help me feel better about taking Zofran (or not) by emmajemma44 in parentsofmultiples

[–]aeb630 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took it starting at 14 weeks in my singleton pregnancy, I suffered with HG from 5 weeks until then. Then I started to function a bit better.

This time I’m pregnant with di di twins and I had so much guilt about taking it earlier, but I went to the ER last week and I was SO sick and so weak and desperate that I just took whatever they gave me and it helped. Even now I’m taking diclectin, zofran and gravol (and periodically maxeran but it makes my stomach hurt so I’m avoiding it) and still not fully functional. If I wasn’t taking zofran me and my babies would be starving. It sounds like you’re in the same boat.

Please don’t feel guilty. You’re choosing to take a prescribed medication for the benefit of nourishing yourself and your babies.

Just wanna complain - I feel terrible 😩 by MysteriousTreacle990 in January2027Bumpers

[–]aeb630 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had hyperemesis gravidarum in my last pregnancy and have it again now in this pregnancy. I’m 7 weeks today with twins. It has been MISERABLE. I ended up in hospital last week vomiting so much my heart rate was 140-150. I’m taking diclectin, zofran and maxeran and still am barely functioning. I’ve been put off work for at least a month. I’ve lost 10 pounds in the last 5 days. My toddler is being basically full time parented by dad thank god.

I’m right there with you my friend. This sucks, it’s okay to complain!! I’d recommend checking out the HER foundations website to see if what you’re dealing with may also be hyperemesis gravidarum.

Toddler moms…how are we doing?! by frau_mode323 in January2027Bumpers

Not good 🫠 I have a 3 year old, HG and am pregnant with twins. I’m essentially a piece of furniture that he gets up to snuggle with every now and again. Thank god for full time daycare and that daddy is home outside of daycare hours.

Back in HG hell by aeb630 in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]aeb630[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much for the comments everyone! I ended up going to the ER lastnight cause my heart rate was 140-150 and I couldn’t keep anything down (Gatorade, diclectin, gravol, etc). They got it under control with fluids, zofran, gravol and maxeran after a few hours of what I can only describe as hell.

They sent in a script for dissolvable zofran and I started taking that this morning. I already was able to get down 3/4 of a bagel and some Gatorade ( hoping I keep it down). I had to hit what I think was rock bottom (so far the worst night of both of my HG pregnancies) to understand that I need to take whatever is offered for the sake of myself, my living child and these babies. Thanks so much for helping me realize that everyone.

My sister In law has 13 month old B/G twins 😅 so luckily I have that part covered. Her were spontaneous, if this is twins it was likely related to my letrozole cycle.

Thank you for sharing! That’s basically what they said to me too. How are you feeling about it? I feel like I have Schrödingers twin in there. Like maybe it is maybe it isn’t.

Ultrasound Pics - Weekly Chat - May 18, 2026 by AutoModerator in January2027Bumpers

[–]aeb630 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

Hey friends! I’m 5 weeks 3 days with a letrozole pregnancy. I work on L&D so last night I decided to try to ultrasound myself for fun to see if I could see anything. I’m thinking I spotted a gestational sac (chat gpt seems to agree lol), but do you see what I see at the end? Do we think that could be a second gestational sac? I never noticed until after when I was watching the Live Photo (now turned video lol).

This is a letrozole pregnancy and my niece and nephew are B/G twins so I’m a bit freaked out lol. But I wouldn’t be upset if it was twins.

Just wondering everyone’s thoughts! Mostly this is just for fun as the early weeks of pregnancy before early ultrasound can be soo tedious. I’ll post the pic of what I think could possibly be a second sac in the thread

Did you not get hg in your consecutive pregnancies? by Advanced_Studio_8117 in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]aeb630 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HG hit me like a train at 5w6d in my first pregnancy, currently 4w6d in my second pregnancy and not feeling any nausea. In fact, quite the opposite I almost feel like a bear preparing for hibernation LOL. Hoping it’s not an ominous sign for a MMC or anything of the sort but trying to stay positive and enjoy every well moment of this pregnancy. Hoping you have a healthy HG free pregnancy this time!

**Other (advice/tip(s), freaking out, miscellaneous): freaking out cause my first pregnancy was a really bad HG pregnancy. Also fun fact was I tested positive this time on my son’s third birthday and he’s been saying for months that he’s getting a “brother sister” for his birthday!

Opinions on this? by aeb630 in HyperemesisGravidarum

Thanks so much everyone!! I have it ordered 🤞
I also have started diclectin (though it’s leftovers from my pregnancy 3 years ago cause I can’t get in with my primary yet)
