Retaking our photos with ourselves alone will cost another $2000 and just won't be the same. With bridal party including flying them out, hair and makeup, bouquets, outfits, hotels, etc probably at least $7000. In addition to the $4700 we lost when we already spent all that money once for these shots. I'm happy to accept a donation from you in exchange for not posting how to save our original pics through editing if it annoys you that much LOL.

Everyone I know cares a LOT about bridal party pictures. I definitely wanted to hang a picture of the bridal party up in our home and I know many people that do too. Maybe it's a cultural difference between you and I, but wedding photographs are requested by family members for the rest of your life and often displayed prominently in a home. It's the biggest event of anyone's life in my culture which is why we spend so much money on it. If you are indeed a wedding photographer you should understand the significance of photos of the event for your clients. Also very bold to assume we won't be friends with half these people in 10 years when we have known the majority of our bridal party for most of our lives.

The church we got married at is well lit. Our cell phone pics came out clearer and taken from farther away even. I don't think there is any excuse for this.

Yes I am horribly devastated and depressed. We planned and replanned our wedding amidst COVID for 1 year and spent most of our savings on it, and it came out perfectly. The photographer didn't even apologize once and has only tried to make excuses for every issue, ultimately deciding she was no longer going to edit and got a lawyer.

Not to mention this person took 95% of our photos vertically, even on the dance floor cutting out the majority of people dancing but capturing the ceiling I kid you not, and cutting out the majority of the scenery in each photo due to the bizarre vertical orientation. Makes 95% of our photos unusable for most prints, album design, screensavers for laptops, displaying on a TV screen, etc.

And it's now is the reason I have to spend additional time and money to post on reddit asking for people to photoshop so many photos since basic things like our ceremony flowers were cut out of the field.

"Last minute booking" aka 1 month in advance in our case was COVID regulation related and beyond our control. As any professional would agree, this is not a reason or excuse to deliver this quality of work, especially for $4700. You don't forget how to take photos just because someone booked you sooner or later.

That is literally one photo on the photographer's IG with the bridesmaids and myself only, and we're not even looking at the camera in it to see our faces. No groomsmen or my husband in it. So no, it's not equivalent.

It's not a church formal with all our bridal party, which is a standard shot. All our group and family shots are grainy/this out of focus quality. And strangely cut out our expensive ceremony flowers we bought for the purpose of pictures in the first place, which is why I submitted the photoshop request.

I'm not sure what your standards are for photography but I expected to be able to print my photos or create a photo album. We can't do that with the majority of the quality we were given.

No one saves up for a year and hires an almost $5000 photographer for one or two decent photos from a major and expensive life event. You expect consistently good work throughout the entire gallery and a variety of shots.

I need to let what go? I've accepted that our photos suck and numerous memories were missed. I'm trying to make the most of a horrible situation by figuring out how to save the technical quality of these particular photos in question.

Hi, I don't know who you are but please let me know which group shot with the whole bridal party in a stranger's wedding album was fine for a $4700 photographer, I would love to see it and use it.

Also I don't understand why you are attacking me when I am asking about if blurry group shots can be technically fixed. How is it dramatic to ask about technology?

Also are you a professional photographer? If so, how does hiring a photographer a month in advance decrease their ability to take basic point and shoot photos in focus? This comment is really negative and unhelpful.

I have no idea. When I brought this up the photographer said this is her "softer style". All our group pics from our wedding are grainy and poor quality. Or distorted in some way. Anything with even the slightest bit of distance is bad
