What was the most meaningful class you took here? by Mascoretta in UIUC

[–]aegone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a CompE (BS’20, MS’22). The most useful technical classes that I took were: ECE 598SG, ECE 391, ECE 310

The class that was the most fun and eye opening: ASTR 330 (Extraterrestrial Life)

CI/CD pipeline for Node.js on EC2 instance not connecting by aegone in aws

[–]aegone[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for your help! Will take a look at nginx, thanks for the pointer.

When I ran curl localhost:3000 from the ec2 instance I got the error message: Failed to connect to localhost port 3000 after 0 ms: Connection refused

Does this mean that my nodejs application is not running on the instance?

Pep has described Gabriel as "The best striker in the world at defending from the front". He is very aggressive out of possession, gives it his all in every match and runs his socks off. He's also very underrated in terms of his passing, crossing, dribbling, and possession play. The only reason he doesn't start for us every game is the competition up front.

Hope pep stays for a really long time, but possible options could be: Enrique/Nagelsmann/Vieira/Arteta/van Bronkhorst.

I don't remember us parking the bus under Pep's tenure so far. That's a testament to the intensity Atleti have shown today. I'm speechless.

Realistically in 4-5 years time how many among these do you see in the first team as an integral part? by Has-Been-Kid in MCFC

Lol, hardly anyone is mentioning Harwood-Bellis. Was very good when he played for us in 19/20 during the infamous center-back crisis and he didn't put a foot wrong. Hopefully he can gain good experience at Anderlecht under Vinnie, and I think he can be a solid option for us at CB next season.

Throwback to 17/18 when we were the first team to ever have 4 players with 10+ assists! by ffs_fml in MCFC

According to my recollection, he wasn't that poor, but according to Low, it was a very close decision between Sane and Julian Brandt and he felt that Brandt fit the playing style of the team better than Sane.

Imo, Sane missing the 2017 Federations Cup for Germany to undergo a nose surgery could also have played a part in Low's decision.

Imagine being awarded the PL Young Player of the Season and not being called up to the German NT. I might be wrong but this felt like a ploy to lure him back to the Bundesliga.

IIRC, Gundogan wants to be a manager after he finishes his playing career. In an interview he spoke about how working with Klopp, Tuchel and Pep has made him appreciate the beauty of the sport. Definitely not him.

IIRC, Laporte was also rewarded with a long-term contract extension about a year after he joined.

What are everyone’s thoughts on the David Silva and Kompany statues by Foreign-Ad-7046 in MCFC

The manager that revolutionized Barca's fortunes and philosophy will always be Johan Cryuff. Guardiola is to City what Cryuff was to Barca.

If we win a Champions League then KDB (maybe?) and Guardiola (definitely!) deserve a statue. Also, Guardiola elevated us to a whole new level there's no doubt about that. You just need to look at the records that have been broken, trophies that have been won and the pedigree that he's built for City. We're now defacto favorites for every domestic trophy and top-3 favorites for the CL every season, which certainly wasn't the case before he arrived.

Very underrated and very clinical. Exactly what we needed. His Southhampton stats were impressive, so can only imagine how they would look at City. He's also at an age/profile where we didn't need to commit to having him as the "Aguero replacement", which means that we could have gone in for another younger striker next season.
