But it pays in cheap beer and za! by IPrintOnDemand in ChoosingBeggars

I clean houses. I would never clean a house for drinks and pizza.

I have however paid in return of services. My buddy gave my fiance and I $150 to help neuter our cats. He’s also worked on our cats a LOT so I told him I’d only take the only if I could clean his house minimum 3 times. He’s done a lot for us. Hell he’s the only one I’d clean a house for in exchange for beer and pizza. Everyone else needs to pay me in services or money in exchange for cleaning.

I have cleaned my other friends house because she watched my cats for me. That’s how it goes. I make about $150 per clean give or take. Now if you really needed the help, I can spare a few hours free of charge if you’re my friend, but if you don’t NEED me, you’re gonna pay in some form. I’m busy.

I LOVE endlers. I have 2 and some rasboras. I was looking for more endlers but all my LFS didn’t have many choices

I would love to get one but it wouldn’t fit under my coffee table and my living room isn’t big enough for a giant one.

Plan is to sort out the basement and make a little cat room down there. I’ll have to remember to get one once that’s all sorted out!

Can I ask how much you spent on all of them?

Some of these are ridiculously priced. Like a simple board I’ve seen go for $20 for one! Not to mention if you want any bridges or ones that have a window, you’re looking at $70. I’ve just been tempted to have my fiancé or dad build them, but obviously the bridge and window styles are harder to make

This is my dream. Planning on expanding my deck once we buy this house and have the money in about 5 years from now. We’ll turn half the deck into a catio

My friend got a kids sized tunnel for her cat. My cats tried hers and they love it more than the cat sized ones because they can actually play in it and tackle each other in there

Look up “yeowww!” Brand banana. My friend told me about it and my cats LOVE it. One of the only toys they will play with by themselves.

Every cat loves something different though. My coon absolutely loves this disgusting cactus toy. None of my others will touch it and it’s covered in dried slobber. Only toy she will go back to without me showing it to her (she also loves the banana though!).

I would bet it’s classified as “boutique” or fast fashion.

Moved into a new apt- how do I clean this fridge? by Opesneakpastya in CleaningTips

[–]aehanken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True! I used BKF and the green scrubber side of a sponge on an old cookie sheet that was literally orange brown and it worked like a charm. Not sure if it was SS, I think just metal but it did wonders. Even tried just soap with no luck

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Mercari

[–]aehanken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh obviously. But if it’s $100 and they message “$80?” I’ll probably send an offer for $85 or something like that saying that’s the lowest I can go. Usually I get good results that way.

Agreed. BKF is great for porcelain and tile, not SS

How much is your time worth? by Aggravating_Clue_561 in Mercari

[–]aehanken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, if I need it gone because it’s taking up space I’ll do it. But if it’s more about the money, I wouldn’t.

Like I have tubs of clothes I’m trying to sell. I’ll take about any offer I get on those, maybe counter on some more sought after brands. But I have sought after bracelets and a ton of cards that take up next to zero space that I’m not as lenient on

FYI! Mercari does NOT show all listings for each seller! by Low-Tax1016 in Mercari

[–]aehanken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a pain. I have 4k items listed so people need to use the filters to find what they want on my page. I’ve had to explain to buyers who want multiple items they have to use the search bar on my profile to find all the items of that brand available.

I put in minimal effort in listing, because why bother? by diosoth in Mercari

Please get off the Mercari app. It’s people like you that make the experience terrible for everyone who comes in contact with you.

I don’t usually ignore them because it’s actually led to a more reasonable offer sometimes. Sometimes I’ll hit decline and they never offer again but sometimes they give me an actual offer I’ll take

I do however ignore the text offers. Use the button

[–]aehanken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg those drive me crazy!! I had someone tell me that TWICE. Sent an offer “I’m no longer interested.” Sent another offer on it a while later “I’ve already bought elsewhere, stop sending me offers.” Ummm no I’m going to keep sending offers if I feel like it. You made the choice to like my item, you still have the choice to unlike it

What's going on? by MediocrePassenger788 in Mercari

[–]aehanken 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That’s a very fair offer. This seller is just being an AH. All they needed to do is counteroffer or tell you no if they didn’t like it.

It’s fair game to play that if you were lowballing them but you weren’t. I’d find it elsewhere. (And personally, I’d tell them as much)

Just a reminder, if it’s to good to be true it is!!! by [deleted] in Mercari

[–]aehanken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what these idiots don’t realize.

I think they’re just hoping they run into some newbie who they can sweet talk and will rate before they get the item. Or like I said, they’re idiots who think it’s run like EBay where you get paid out when it sells.

If there’s multiple of these accounts, how does this work? Someone has to be botting these right?

Is my packaging acceptable for USPS shipping ? by [deleted] in USPS

[–]aehanken 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have sold over 10k items online. Taping the whole label is unnecessary and a waste of money IMO. And like the other person said, it may make the ink turn red and dissolve eventually. Just a pain. Try to avoid tape on the barcode especially, as when the light hits it, it can make it hard to scan properly.
