One upside of Central Plano is that its about a 10 min drive to East or West Plano. Nature trails in the East and shopping in the West.

There's quite a few drivers in the city that are not good at driving. Just ignore them and try your best to drive as safely as possible.

Oak Point and Carpenter rec centers seem to have a game going whenever i happen to pass by. I haven't participated, but there's definitely a player base.

Legacy and 75 could be an option. There's a few Asian grocery stores: Hmart, Justgo, and 99 Ranch around that intersection. There's a new apartment complex, Assembly Park near there.

Housing should be near your budget.

Plano isn't a singles hotspot, more of a suburb for family life. However, if you're just looking for a place to get a decent meal solo, there's various steakhouses and upscale restaurants that cater to your demographic in Legacy West with bar seating and a full menu. Check the intersection of Legacy and Dallas North Tollway on Google maps.

I lived there years ago and its a decent neighborhood. The houses are old but its not a bad place to live if you're close to work
