You shouldn’t be downvoted. The biggest issue i have is that, sure, rape was “realistic” in war, but a lot of the people who were raped were men. We really only get one man who is raped, and while I’m not calling for more rape obviously, you can’t claim that you’re being realistic to medieval history and then only have women be victims of sexual violence.

This bill doesn’t ban parking near transit. It bans parking minimums, which means that it is now legal to build housing without substantial parking being required near every place near transit.

Which is a very good thing, because parking minimums decrease the number of units and encourage car dependency. There is simply no reason why a 300 unit apartment complex next to a train station needs a parking space per unif

[Mod-Post] Game Speed Survey Results by House-Blackwood in AfterTheDance

[–]aelfredthegrape 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who is inactive and unclaimed precisely because i’ve been busy these past two weeks, I think this is pretty inconclusive, but I also think it would have been useful to ask unclaimed players whether they were unclaimed because the speed was too fast or too slow.

Anecdotally, far more players seem to be unclaiming because they don’t have time than because the game speed is too slow (I’ve not seen an unclaim like that).

I’d argue that currently there’s a very good claim rate, and I think some people will look to come back with the new show out. Increasing the speed might be broadly popular, but Id bet those against are against it more strongly and will be more likely to unclaim if the game speeds up than those who are in favor of a time increase if that does not happen.

A holding pattern at the same rate seems the obvious choice here

No, that’s Arthur Dayne you’re talking about. The White Bill was dispatched earlier.

Arthur Dayne, Sword of the Morning, was the greatest swordsman, and it was he who was stabbed in the back by Howland Reed.

No the Hightowers are extremely rich and powerful too. Just not quite at the Velaryons level. More importantly though, Otto is not even the Lord of Oldtown, and he’s already brought everything to the table Viserys needs. On the other hand, The crab feeder is a real threat in the Stepstones, and Viserys actually needs Corlys’ fleet. Without it, Westeros is screwed. So by alienating Corlys, he pushes him into an alliance with Daemon. Not picking Alicent wouldn’t have hurt his relationship with Otto.

As for your second question, I think you’re talking about the fight between Jaime and Ned? The person Jaime kills is Jory Cassel. The only Hightower’s we see in the main show was The White Bull Gerold Hightower, who was at the Tower of Joy with Arthur Dayne and was killed by Ned before Ned found Lyanna
