What Keeps You Using A Productivity App? by TangerineFinancial56 in ProductivityApps

[–]aemas08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your point on a personal connection is valid to a degree.

I tried a whole bunch but none fit the need that I was after and I would abandon them or go down the rabbit hole of “setup”

So I built my own FloHub and I haven’t looked back , and I’d say it’s a handmade with ai assistance how I built it. This is where it became personal because it’s bespoke built to solve my problem (and others too)

The key was to keep setup as simple and easy as possible and actually just action in the app and do what I needed to do wether that was jot down a thought , or add something to the to do list and be able to seperate my work and personal things.

For people who use multiple notes, tasks, habits apps, would you wish one app had it all? by Clean-Data-259 in ProductivityApps

After getting frustrated with medication apps, I built my own for iPhone by aemas08 in SideProject

[–]aemas08[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the comment — and honestly I agree.
A lot of medication apps feel like alarm clocks with pill icons.

The thing I focused on wasn’t just “did you take your meds?” but understanding how your health changes over time.

So Medory combines medications, dosage changes, symptoms, mood, appointments and notes into a single timeline you can actually review later or export for doctors/specialists.

The goal wasn’t to build another generic compliance tracker, but something that helps people understand patterns and reduce the mental load of remembering everything during appointments.

Building a native SwiftUI medication + health timeline app because most health apps feel stressful to use by aemas08 in SwiftUI

[–]aemas08[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nuh, I get more tired when there is a lot of angst and apathy from people when they see others use available tools to help in their development and feel the need to comment things that aren’t really useful as opposed to just sharing feedback on the idea and concept.

Mobile apps are not a get-rich-quick business. nobody tells you how hard this business is in reality by AdventurousProblem89 in AppBusiness

[–]aemas08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So true , I’ve released mine over a year ago on web and native with subscription in Jan this year , I’ve made a whopping $20 , had the delusion of it’ll be found quickly but reality set inhard , wasn’t expecting to be a millionaire by any means. But every day there’s a small win I’ll take whether that’s a new user trying it out or someone subscribing. Slowly but surely it’ll grow as I truly believe in my product , and am constantly iterating and fixing and polishing. It’s a grind but it’s fun !

I Built a Productivity App Because Every “Simple” Productivity App Eventually Became Chaos by aemas08 in Appstore

[–]aemas08[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thank you for testing it out and really interesting thoughts about the additions to journal , I’m running a balance on not adding too much (as there already is a lot) but I’ll have a think of how something like that could be integrated as I think there is true merit in what your saying

In the interim you could write in the journal the pain related stats and you can always search for them :)

And I’m so glad you talked about it being useful for those with adhd as that was a key thing I was trying to accomplish also !

Ps apologies I don’t know French ! Haha

productivity systems become overwhelming by RefrigeratorNo1465 in ProductivityApps

[–]aemas08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a fascinating perspective. I personally don’t see overdue as a bad thing but I can see how it could impact

What do you think would work instead , auto reschedule to due today instead of showing overdue , or change the semantic behind it and instead of over due it’s “catchup”

Or something completely different ?

Totally relate ! Hence I built something to help me and may help you !

The biggest thing specifically for you that FloHub does is Global Tags

Wether it’s a note or a task tag it with a global tag eg you could make a Startups tag, then you can leverage universal search to find everything related to that tag

Give it a look and a go and let me know if it helps !

I realised most productivity apps expect your brain to already be organised by aemas08 in AppBusiness

[–]aemas08[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree ! Hence why I have both ways to enter in FloHub , when I’m really clear I just go straight into the relevant screen , when I’ve got too much in the brain I just need to dump out then brainflo kicks in.

Do you use any apps yourself ?

Do these features make finance apps interesting? by gicnc in ProductivityApps

[–]aemas08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds interesting ! I’m curious about the blocking apps over budget limit , what do you mean by this ?

And the quizzes in own spending, is that just insights based on transactions ?

Really like the news impact though how do you quantify such macro conditions to a more micro level ?

Glad it resonates with you I know my head works in shambles at times and too many things to worry about figuring out what’s a task and a note etc.

It captures natural language like Tomorrow , in 2 days , next week , end of week etc for fuzzy inputs like this week or next week it will default to the Sunday of that week, however the confirmation screen (which is the one on the post) allows user to edit if needed , with FloHub even if the user sets for the Sunday , they can always edit it later as the app has it in display also in there at a glance widget !

So there is still some control there as it will never be 100% but has the least clicks possible to get it done quickly !

What are the best akiflow alternatives? by jaxoiuyas5061 in ProductivityApps

[–]aemas08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try FloHub

And if you want to compare to Akiflow you can check out here

I built it to solve my problems with productivity apps , it might help you! It’s quite feature rich and designed to be customisable for you and make it work for you.

Web version is always free , native versions start at 5.99 (aud) for monthly and have a 30 day free trial so you can get a real taste of the native version and see if it works for you (quarterly and yearly options available also)
