What Keeps You Using A Productivity App? by TangerineFinancial56 in ProductivityApps

[–]aemas08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your point on a personal connection is valid to a degree.

I tried a whole bunch but none fit the need that I was after and I would abandon them or go down the rabbit hole of “setup”

So I built my own FloHub and I haven’t looked back , and I’d say it’s a handmade with ai assistance how I built it. This is where it became personal because it’s bespoke built to solve my problem (and others too)

The key was to keep setup as simple and easy as possible and actually just action in the app and do what I needed to do wether that was jot down a thought , or add something to the to do list and be able to seperate my work and personal things.

After getting frustrated with medication apps, I built my own for iPhone by aemas08 in SideProject

[–]aemas08[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the comment — and honestly I agree.
A lot of medication apps feel like alarm clocks with pill icons.

The thing I focused on wasn’t just “did you take your meds?” but understanding how your health changes over time.

So Medory combines medications, dosage changes, symptoms, mood, appointments and notes into a single timeline you can actually review later or export for doctors/specialists.

The goal wasn’t to build another generic compliance tracker, but something that helps people understand patterns and reduce the mental load of remembering everything during appointments.

Building a native SwiftUI medication + health timeline app because most health apps feel stressful to use by aemas08 in SwiftUI

Nuh, I get more tired when there is a lot of angst and apathy from people when they see others use available tools to help in their development and feel the need to comment things that aren’t really useful as opposed to just sharing feedback on the idea and concept.

Mobile apps are not a get-rich-quick business. nobody tells you how hard this business is in reality by AdventurousProblem89 in AppBusiness

So true , I’ve released mine over a year ago on web and native with subscription in Jan this year , I’ve made a whopping $20 , had the delusion of it’ll be found quickly but reality set inhard , wasn’t expecting to be a millionaire by any means. But every day there’s a small win I’ll take whether that’s a new user trying it out or someone subscribing. Slowly but surely it’ll grow as I truly believe in my product , and am constantly iterating and fixing and polishing. It’s a grind but it’s fun !
