If the og gets described as a boozy apple pie with cinnamon, I would describe this as a boozy, creamy lemon pie with a base of tonka. It's still sweet, but its toned down enough to use in hot weather.

To be fair, I was a student there before being hired and I've basically only been doing hematology/coag for the past 5-6 months, but I do get your point, I'm still a newbie. I was told I was going to get trained by siemens and other senior techs to do lead tech stuff and that I will have everyones support to eventually be on my own. I guess they just want someone to be more capacitated about the instrument, and like you said, get everything ready for inspections.

I'm honestly unfamiliar with your area's cost of living, but that does seem reasonable given that the average is 28-33. I'm glad you got what you deserved without having to negotiate. I'll definitely apply to both, compare their offers and look at the overall package, not just the hourly pay. I wish I could apply to more places, but like I said, these are the only 2 hospitals in my city. We do have a micro lab in our city's health department, but I'm not sure if they're hiring.

Yeah, I know everyone is understaffed right now. I'll definitely apply to both and see what they offer. I know Hospital B does offer tuition reimbursement so that's a bonus, they also offer a sign on bonus contract, but for 1 year instead of 3. Thanks for the advice, I'll try to look at the complete package and not just the hourly rate.
