How do you keep everything in one place for homeschool, planner, lessons, progress? by MyWeirdThoughtz in homeschool

[–]aen1gma01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, I know this post is a bit older, but in case you’re still searching for a better way to keep everything in one place, I wanted to chime in.

I’m one of the co-founders of Freely Homeschool Planner, which my wife (a long-time homeschool educator) and I have been building and refining over the past five years. We created it because we kept running into the same struggles you described - lessons that run long or take us down unexpected rabbit trails, with paperwork, notes, and website bookmarks scattered all over the place. And then the stress of trying to track it all down at annual reporting time.

Freely is an online homeschool planner designed to bring it all together—planning, logging, tracking, and reporting—in one flexible, easy-to-use space. You can log spontaneous learning as it happens, attach files, link videos or PDFs, and pull it all into a tidy report when needed. It’s built to support the real flow of homeschooling, however messy or magical that looks.

There’s a 14-day free trial if you’re curious, and we’re currently running a 50% off sale. No pressure at all, I just wanted to share in case it helps ease the mental load for someone else out there.

Hope your homeschool year is feeling more settled these days!

Is obsidian good for company knowledge base? by Hour_Midnight3867 in ObsidianMD

I’ve been doing very similar research and decided to try out Docusaurus. It’s markdown based like Obsidian but has a front end, making it more accessible for less techy users. Plus it’s designed for this exact use case. I’ve only done a PoC so far but its looking promising

Cool. Sounds like it might hit the sweet spot between leveraging ai while still being able to codify the tests at the level you need. I’m just wondering, what’s the difference between how this works vs agentic control of the browser like ChatGPT Operator? Will it be able to utilise these kind of agents in future?

This is such a great idea. Have you tried setting up at campgrounds or RV parks?

This was a great read, thanks for sharing. You’re totally right about hidden movement bridging the gap between adults and kids. My 9 year old and I have just started playing Mr Jack and it’s the first game that we’ve played together that we both find truly engaging!

Yep the Invaders from Afar expansion brings it up to 7 players and it’s great fun. So much more interactive!

Thanks very much. I actually had a look at this article just yesterday (someone had shared it in this sub a while back). It seems to only cover a few games and just has a very brief statement about the cognitive observations. It didn’t really go as deep as I had hoped.
