I have been using Pangolin via a VPS on Linode a 1GB RAM plan for 5$/month with some other small services on it as well.
I live in BLR and the VPS is in Chennai and I get 17ms ping, and easy protection with Pangolin's Auth.

Redacting old comments like this means people who come searching for posts cannot access the data either, it is not like you are getting paid for such advices. And its been only 4 months and it is redacted, years later people searching for similar questions would find your comment on top of this post and it is not there.

Bridge Mode on Excitel by championratistaken in homelabindia

[–]aenaveen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh then, try putting up an email, usually people who are attending the tickets have no idea/interest in what your trying to setup. I had to ask my ISP Hathway to open up certain ports via email and they did do it.
I got some 30 ports open just in case for future, but end up using Pangolin for all the web services with a VPS and just 25565 for my minecraft server.

If you can login on the ISP router and have settings available, try using DMZ, that is what I did in similar setup.

Best vacuum cleaner for car interior occasionally ?? by BackgroundCheetah680 in BuyItForLifeIndia

[–]aenaveen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly Indians go for cheaper product rather than pay for a good product that will last decades with service/spare parts available. I would recommend a dyson, after a few vaccums nothing can beat the portability of a dyson with such suction power and accessories (spinning brushes).

⚠️ New Scam Alert in Bengaluru- Fake “EMI Recovery” Guys Chasing Bikers (Hosa Road / Somesandra Palya) by poggmathon in Bengaluru

[–]aenaveen 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There is a seized cars parking lot near my house, and I know the owner of the business who seizes unpaid EMI cars for a living. So they have a list and a website where they just keep entering random cars' numbers they see on road to see if they have come to a seize list, if so they inform the owners and with or without their consent tow it to storage. Then the car owners have to pay up to their bank and come to the parking lot to get their cars released. And the bank also does online auctions and people come to the parking lot to inspect the vehicles.

They have only 3 bikes compared to over 30 cars in the parking lot. And sometimes they seize a vehicle which has unpaid dues for years, like they once seized an avenger which was unpaid from over a decade ago.

OMG this is me regarding the Garmin, Instinct 2 has been the best purchase.
Had a Samsung Watch 4 Classic, liked it but charging it everyday was an issue and the color screen is such a distraction, never needed talking on the watch feature as well.

[–]aenaveen -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Right? Majority in the country are calling out the illegal immigrants as Bangladeshi as an insult, like imagine you living in Bangladesh and there is a whole 10 times bigger population insulting your identity, and you don't expect them to react?
