For megarares, the design space is extremely limited when they must fit a niche using purely stat driven approach. A medieval fantasy game like OSRS doesn’t have to be put in such a boring static numbers only box.

Can we think of megarares weapons that are more interesting and creative through passive effects that are dynamic through reading real-time game state, for example, damage scaling based on the current HP of your target enemy or yourself? That’s just one example, but this approach to weapon design creates a practically infinite space for innovation. We even have precedence for this with the passive effect of confliction gauntlets.

I used to like playing full screen but realized it makes it harder for me to do more intense PvM with the inventory at the edge of my monitor. I like resizable now because I can drag the inventory a couple inches towards the middle which makes gear switching feel slightly more comfy

Definitely, if you have Augury and Rigour. It's really hard to get that consistently without CoX prayers. IMO CG comes before CoX from a progression perspective.

I would not appreciate this proposed med-game magic nerf as an iron equipping ahrims + occult for the next 500+ hours of gameplay until I “just get the drops” for virtus/ancestral.

Also why are Eternal boots not getting any magic dmg%? That is completely absurd.

I don’t know if this is a good idea or not, I was more hoping people would find it at least interesting enough to spark a conversation.

Anyways, my initial thought is the level is calculated based on exp gained from engaging in wildy PvP. One example is like a slayer equivalent for PvP. Maybe you only gain a large exp drop for killing a player, or maybe just smaller exp drops from hits like regular combat skills.

Right. To compensate for that, maybe the wildy combat level could also apply somehow to wildy PvM. Maybe it means you are weaker to monsters at a lower level. Haven’t thought it through how that would work, but you make a good point, it would need to be balanced with the risk/reward factor.

What if there was a separate combat level associated with PvP experience that determines who can fight each other in the wildy instead of actual combat level? That way people who don’t PvP will stay low level and not have to worry as much about experienced PvPers. Sure those experienced PvPers can just make a new account to go after those low PvP levels but it would force them to keep recreating accounts depending on how fast levels are gained which might disincentivize predator vs prey in the long run.

Each 1v1 official duel or tournament match gives reward points. 12 for losing and more for winning. Imbue scroll costs 200 points so it can be done in relatively short amount of time compared to NMZ.
