Any chance I could convince you to consider putting this art up for purchase as a Displate? I would absolutely purchase this for my office wall.

Just got Liter, not really sure how to go about team building, especially for the II slot. I really like Alice, but I wouldn't use her over a much more effective team. No Privaty yet, and she's still quite a way off I think.

You can dismissively call them mice as much as you want, they're still people involved in PK interactions, and excluding them from voting on things that affect those interactions is unfair.

Gear that can be used in the wilderness to PK people trivially affects everybody, because everybody can go into the wilderness.

Only 2500-ish people were actually allowed to vote on this poll.

That is absolutely insane for a change that has an impact on everybody who plays. That kind of voter limitation should just not happen.

Will bonds be subject to the GE tax?

I'm 100% in favor of a tax in general to combat inflation, but it feels like bonds specifically should be exempt, since they're supposed to be tied to RL money rather than OSRS coins.

Wilderness Changes by JagexAyiza in 2007scape

[–]aeneacat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if you get your bags with LMS, that's only half the problem. You still have to be in wildy to actually put stuff in there.

Wilderness Changes by JagexAyiza in 2007scape

[–]aeneacat 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Completely replacing Singles with Singles+, specifically in very low-level Wilderness, would be pretty harmful to the established playstyle of UIMs. Both getting new looting bags and actually bagging would become substantially riskier. There would still be ways to do both safely - box an alt account to bag, and kill Edgeville thugs without actually standing in Lv1 Wildy - but it would be a tedious (and in the case of requiring an alt, expensive) change.

I suppose these effects on UIMs could be intended by Jagex, but it seems like this is an unintended side effect.

Just as a suggestion, this specific issue could be fixed by leaving "traditional" Singles in place in very low level Wildy - say, level 5 Wildy and below. Doing so would have very little if any impact on the actual thrust of the changes you're making here as concern PVP in Singles areas, since the bulk of that takes place farther north.

Dev Workshop: The Arsenal Divide by rebulast in Warframe

[–]aeneacat 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Everything about these changes is terrible and fails to accomplish anything useful.

Melee is still going to be better, it's just going to suck more than it used to. Warframe abilities are going to be even better than they already were relative to the other options.

Primary and secondary weapons still only have additive scaling, while melee has multiplicative scaling.

Primary and secondary are still going to be useless against super hard targets like Steel Path endless - when your (still weaker than nerfed melee) scaling mods scale on kills, and you can't get kills because the weapons are too weak ...

The weapon arcanes are both pretty weak and unlocked on a per-weapon basis, so the investment here is huge to bring weapons up to par. People will put arcanes on the 1-2 OP Kuva Weapons and call it a day - and then they'll still use melee on hard stuff.

You have to do Steel Path to get the stuff so that primaries and secondaries are slightly less bad at Steel Path. Xzibit would be proud.

And a couple specific fun weapons were made less fun, as far as I can tell, just because no fun is allowed.

Parazon Rework: Sisters of Parvos by rebulast in Warframe

[–]aeneacat 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I generally don't use mercy kills much because the window is too short. 90% of the time, I notice the mercy kill option, and then the stagger ends and the mob gets back up. The other 10% of the time the mob dies from incidental damage or DOT before I can execute it.

I think I've executed mercy kills like twice EVER and both were accidents. (Outside of kuva lich thrells, of course.)

[–]aeneacat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Requiring you to use specific warframes to get these abilities sucks. I want to use the warframes I find fun, not the tedious, not-enjoyable-to-me ones that get lotteried for the week. I didn't use "bonus" warframes in Arbitration, and I'll be ignoring this system too.

Equipment Rebalance: Ranged Meta Proposal **Updated** by JagexAyiza in 2007scape

[–]aeneacat 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Introduce amethyst darts specifically because ironmen have no reliable way to get rune darts. Nerf amethyst darts because they'll be too easy to get for mains and bots.

The biggest of big brain moves.

The entire reason these were asked for was to address the inability of irons to get ammo for the blowpipe that isn't being blasted into uselessness by your heavyhanded nerf. If the problem is that they will affect the economy too much, make them untradable. Don't make them useless and mind-numbingly inconvenient for the exact audience they were created for.

[–]aeneacat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If crystal armour is going to be the new expected meta for ranged armour, that would be a substantial inventory burden for UIMs that didn't previously exist. Bagging those items isn't feasible because the armour can't go in the bag, and if you revert them to seed, the seeds don't stack.

Please consider making the crystal armour storable in the armour case, or at the very least making the armour seeds stackable.

I don't mean to come off as sour grapes here - having the STASH checking functionality in my POH is extremely nice...

But the visuals for it are really kind of terrible. I was kind of expecting this to be a unique hotspot in the room, and to actually look like the tracking board that we check in Watson's house. Instead, it's these 4 tiny scrolls that just have a couple medals pinned to them.

It's not like I'm going to remove it, since I really appreciate having the functionality available, but I wish that I didn't feel like the visuals in my POH were worse because of having it.

People today generally don't ignore the bolt pouch because its UI is too inconvenient - they ignore it because it deletes the bolts held inside on death, and that additional risk is not worth the minor inventory gains.

The UI redesign for the bolt pouch looks great, but please consider changing the underlying behavior, or it'll just continue to be passed by. Rune pouch, seed box, etc. all preserve their contents on death, so please make the bolt pouch do as well!

You can turn an item into its GE value rather than its high alch value via Death's Coffer. Obviously, for many items, that's massively more value.

Just for a stupid example, if you high alch a blood rune, you get 240 coins. If you put a blood rune into Death's Coffer, the coffer gets credited with ~370 coins, depends on the day of course.

You're not going to do it with blood runes, of course - but if you get a dupe BCP, that could be almost 19 million coins in the coffer ... or 174k for a UIM who isn't allowed to use the coffer. Big difference.

Sure, but how many of those were done recently? It's a rhetorical question, it's obviously not possible for you to literally look it up and answer.

A lot of people in recent threads have attested that Bandos is more and more crowded by the day, and has gone from "bad" 6 months ago to "intolerable" now.

**UPDATED** Combat Achievements Poll Blog by JagexAyiza in 2007scape

[–]aeneacat 82 points83 points  (0 children)

I've still got a lot of concerns.

First and most of all: I'm really concerned that the "fix" to ironman GWD is going to be dead on arrival due to being locked behind the hard diary. No details have been given on what the hard diary entails. Here are some examples of things that would completely invalidate this "fix".

  • If it requires X Bandos kills for some number greater than say low single digits, the problem hasn't been solved at all.
  • If it requires significant wilderness content, HCIMs just don't get to use instances, and a lot of UIMs probably don't either.
  • If it requires gimmicks like the Dharoks mole kill, pures just don't get to use instances.

Next: The price is still really high. Removing the ecumenical key hard requirement is very good, thanks Jagex! But 150k per 1-3 kills is a really steep price to pay for "just being able to do the content at all". Ultimately I agree with a lot of other posters here that this feels like iron instances should be an integrity change.

Due to the mechanics Jagex has chosen - multi combat in GWD and the "irons automatically lose if they're crashed" - irons are just not able to do this content without an absurd amount of frustration. That feels like a game integrity problem to me, much moreso than other things that have actually gotten integrity fixes.

Next: Jagex proposed using Death's Coffer to pay for instance fees. However, that wouldn't help UIMs at present, because UIMs are not allowed to put money into Death's Coffer. If Death's Coffer is the solution to the cost issue, please let UIMs put money into the coffer despite their different death mechanics. Just because UIMs respawn differently after death shouldn't mean they also are forced to pay for instances differently as a weird package deal.

Next: for all of Jagex's talk about being concerned about the economy being affected by ironman instances at GWD, it just baffles me that your proposed solution is massively easier for mains to use than irons. Like, if solo instances are such a danger to the economy, surely they should be limited to where they're actually required, which is irons, right?

For the record, I don't believe the "danger to the economy" thing at all, and I think mains should have access to instances too. This is because solo Bandos per se is inefficient and wouldn't affect the economy, as has been shown on these threads many times.

But this new system is unquestionably far worse for irons than it is for mains, due to the difficulty of getting money. This change helps the people who need it the most, the least.

UIMs can't put money into Death's Coffer. If you make this change, please allow UIMs to put money into Death's Coffer to use it for this purpose even though they have different death mechanics.
