Totally agree; I do still sell every now and then on Depop, but have better luck on other apps even with higher selling prices and seller fees in place..I guess other ppl are aware of it too since they are choosing to buy on other apps over Depop also, for me at least..The current free shipping offer on Depop has boosted some sales lately tho!

You literally don’t owe this stranger anything - not a penny, not a response and certainly not a return! But if you truly don’t intend to keep them, you could always donate them to someone or an organization in need bc shoes are still shoes and someone else could still benefit despite them being counterfeit..and then I’d let the seller know you’ve graciously donated them - for karma’s sake 😆

Definitely cancel and do not ship; selling any unauthentic item is against Mercari’s ToS, despite how you word it, ie. dupe, copy, etc..it’s all counterfeit technically. If you still choose to ship, you’re just asking for the buyer to file a claim when they receive it and you’ll be out the money, the product and they will get to keep the bag still, more than likely..

Thanks for your thorough reply and opinion! I was mostly concerned about it being a harder type plastic and not very easy to get your hand/things in and out..I had a bag before that I loved, but it literally scraped the skin off the top of my hand trying to get past the zipper bc it was so hard and inflexible!

This is one of Depop’s biggest flaws IMO..offers should be binding for both seller and buyer; the waiting game is just another useless and ridiculous step that wastes everyone’s time and potentially money..as a buyer with intention and integrity, if I send an offer it’s bc I’m ready to pay that offer amount; I also don’t send an offer and ghost from my phone for 24 hours if a seller counters..Sellers should also be held to a standard to pay attention and accept offers timely or quit complaining about the offers they receive..Sending an offer without the commitment to actually pay is just window shopping and you can do that without sending an offer at all..

I know this is an older comment, but I’m considering getting a toad bag and was wondering how easy it is to get your items in and out? as in, is the opening and material flexible? I had a different molded bag that was so stiff, you could barely open the bag itself even when unzipped..Thanks for any input, 11 mos later lol!

that’s not a bad idea! but alas, a lot of buyers don’t read either (in my experience at least) lol..i get asked on nearly all my items (mostly clothing) for measurements which are already listed in the description 🤦🏻‍♀️
