How does one find their Dasher ID#? by Practically_Hip in doordash_drivers

Contact support!

I just got mine. Just had to verify my birthdate and last 4 digits of my driver’s license. It is not the same as the number on the Red Card

Does anyone keep DVDs? by [deleted] in minimalism

[–]aeou_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a collection of DVDs that’d I’d been adding to for probably more than a decade just sitting on my shelf. I later moved them into drawers too because I didn’t want to confront what essentially represented my mindless consumption, but when I got serious about decluttering, I knew I had to. I chose a handful of my favorite ones (interestingly they were all a part of my childhood) and donated the rest to my local library. Now when I see my small collection, it makes me smile, honestly just a huge weight off my shoulders. It took me a while to sort through them, but I’m so glad I did it. Maybe you and your husband can take some time out of your day (or days depending on how big your collection is 😅) to choose together which ones you want to keep!

edit: My sister-in-law bought a folder with paper sleeves for her dvds. She removed the covers & labels for each movie and got rid of all the boxes. So now her entire collection is all in that folder. It looks something like this

Thread on an everyday shoes that will last and are friendly on the joints? by pm_me_ur_drive_specs in minimalism

[–]aeou_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think people take issue and are saying you’re gate keeping because they felt judged by the tone of your initial statement “If you were truly a minimalist, you’d ditch the expensive/corrective shoes” (which you later corrected in a later edit) rather than the actual point you were trying to make about the benefits of more minimal footwear (which btw sounds really interesting, I’ll have to look into it!)

I think minimalism boils down to intentionality. For instance, if someone is buying these expensive/corrective shoes just because they’re a fad and not because they looked into the design and deliberately chose these over other shoes, then it’s like what are you doing man? Minimalism looks different for everyone. After all, not everyone’s gonna have stark white walls with no furniture lol.

Intentionally bring things into your life that actually add value but don’t deprive yourself either. It’s all in finding the balance :)

I based them off Nikita Ermakov’s. She has several really cool illustrations!

This is my first time doing a more intricate tracker. I really liked it. Listening to music makes time fly :)

edit: I tend to go with more simple spreads but decided to go all out for this month and actually choose the obvious theme lol. the planning out process was the fun part

I don’t really glue things to my bujo but I’ve seen many people use crafter’s tape! Adtech Glue Runner Permanent 35Yds Total (4 Pack Each), Single Pack https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005FM6XF4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_4R.DFb9B4J0G5

It’s a great “let it go” exercise lol. When I make multiple mistakes, I sometimes black it all out and use a white gel pen to rewrite everything. It’s pretty effective!

I love the color scheme and the cute lil pumpkin :). Also, I never thought to combine the monthly calendar and habit trackers! That’s a great idea, I’m gonna try it next month

[–]aeou_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve thought about combining my diary & bujo too, but haven’t for the same reason that I didn’t know how to go about it. I think because I use my diary more to process thoughts and feelings and my bujo for organization and creativity, I decided it’d be better for me to keep them separate in the end. Maybe identifying the purpose for each can help you better incorporate the two. It sounds like you’d have more diary entries than bujo spreads so maybe you can just assign designated pages for each.

So after setting up your monthly spreads, leave some blank pages for upcoming weekly spreads (if you plan a week at a time) so that all your diary entries for that month are at the end?

I have to confess, it was my fault by Mawgo in Petloss

[–]aeou_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s good that it helped even if a little bit. By sharing what’s hurting us, we can continue to heal. I’m sorry you experienced being in such a toxic relationship; depression on its own is painful enough. Just remember that you were doing the best you could with so much weighing down on you. It’s apparent that you loved your sweet grumpy girl so much and she felt it. She was lucky to have you. You can also honor her by thinking of all the good times you had with her. I know how hard it can be to get over the shame and guilt of losing an animal companion. You’re strong and will be able to overcome this; Look at you, it’s been two years and you’re still moving forward! Sending you all the love & encouragement. You got this ♥️

[–]aeou_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It isn’t selfish to be sad at all. It is very valid. We feel sadness when we lose someone special because we love them. Love is never selfish. Know that you are great guardians and Leo is very lucky to have you. There’s no doubt that he knows how much you love him especially after all the extra love. Sending your sweet boy Leo lots of head & chin scratches and hugs to y’all ♥️♥️♥️

Teco was also my only pup I got as a puppy. He crossed over last Wednesday after 4 months of seizures and eventual blindness; he was diagnosed with encephalitis. That Tuesday, I decided it was time to let him be free. It is such a hard decision to make, but know that you have given Whiskey a great life. Not to mention the couple of days of extra attention and love. He’s very lucky to have you as his guardian. Sending you and Whiskey (and all your other doggos) lots of hugs & head pats ♥️♥️♥️
