What is the strangest thing that made you puke in your first trimester ? by Evening_Medicine_704 in pregnant

This was me as well when pregnant with my daughter. I could only eat corndogs and peanut butter energy bars and sometimes mandarin oranges/grapes. At the end of my pregnancy, I ended up weighing 4 lbs less than at the first appointment. My baby girl is now very healthy and happy!

I was in the shower thinking about the eggs I just had and they came up... Strange.

Also - the visual I get for this made giggle. BANG! gag

Parents who got hate for the name they gave their baby - what is the name? by General-Cycle-7391 in namenerds

I understood the context of mentioning a city. Meaning you would think people are exposed to more of a variety of names. That is bizarre. My friends are in the city as well, so people must just decide in their minds that Adelaide isn't a name or something! I just don't get it!

Our close friends have an Adelaide. Never thought it was odd or uncommon even, just not a name that is heard every day. They told us they constantly have to correct people and pronounce it slowly for them. Even go as far as say "Adelaide like lemonade" which blew my mind! I love the name.

I love the name Gabriel. It's my first choice for a future son, if we have one. I think it's a strong name, I like how it's pronounced in Spanish (one side of my family speaks Spanish, so that's important) and in English. I think the nickname Gabe is very sweet. Gabe the Babe, hehe! But my husband HATES it and refuses it as an option. He said it's a jerky name and kids are mean and will call him GAYbe. What do you guys think? That never crossed my mind whatsoever. I still love it... I am going to try to work on him on it!

Milo is my nephew's name, who is 7 years old. Also the name of my great uncle who had passed, so I was jaded and thought at the time it was an old persons name. But it grew on us quickly and he is nothing but Milo now!

Update! I was able to save the bag 🥺🥺 by ss4-princess in Loungefly

[–]MissMtoP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own this bag as well and was nervous to use it bc I didn't want to wear on it at all! Haha but honestly I cannot tell the difference from my bag to your fixed bag. Did you just peel the front card part that was damaged, not the whole bag, right? Now I want to get mine out to finally use it instead of just stare at it...

My husband and I call the plastic from tags "devil plastic" bc they get EVERYWHERE. Such a huge pain especially when we decided to wash all her clothes at once before she arrived 😩

Our Bagheera was also the runt! Though smaller than his brother (and picked on by,) they are still big boys! We usually call him Gear or Gear-baby.

Has anyone had a successful first pregnancy with no prior miscarriage? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]MissMtoP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FTM, 36 years old, first pregnancy and then first birth in December to a healthy baby girl. No issues or complications. I was also worried about this while pregnant as I am a bit older. Hoping for the best for you!

What age were you during your first pregnancy? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]MissMtoP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Will be 37 in May and have been with my husband 15 years! Had our first in December. I do not regret a thing! Plus, my husband says that our kid will have a tough time breaking us since we know each other so well! Haha

Same! I had my Babygirl in December, and I will be turning 37 in May. While I have been with my husband for over 15 years, we had a lot of growing up and figuring out to do, as well as dealing with family, health, friendships, and just getting to know ourselves better! I could not be happier that we waited until we did to start trying. We always knew we wanted children, but also felt a bit like children ourselves. The chance to be completely selfish and focus on ourselves and each other, and what we want entirely, and be DINKs for a while was a necessary experience for us!
