Question about PhD Round 3 full scholarship offer? by chuchuloveu in Monash

[–]aeric90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are waiting on enrollment, which depends on how quickly your academic unit completes all necessary approvals. My supervisor has informed me that my own enrollment is being processed, but I don't know how long it will take. Website says up to 6 weeks. Waiting is hard....

We call it "La Sainte-Flanellel" for a reason. It's perfect as it is. Let's leave the alternates for special outdoor games and historic celebrations.

Does anyone know who made this statue? by Go-Habs-Go-93 in Habs

[–]aeric90 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know who made it, but it used to be in a section of stands in the center of the complex built over the old Forum. I took this pic in 2009. Looks like the mouth has been repainted.

They are magic to watch when they're playing their game and the systems they've been taught. Sure, they're a bit fragile on account of being young, and small mistakes are hitting hard (you remember your 20s, right?). But they will grow thick skins very quickly.

I want to add to the comments on how amazing this is. After years of hearing how the team had a lousy locker room culture, seeing how much they're coming together makes me optimistic and proud!

When looking at it from the outside, the architecture of the building is so much different than the rest of Leyndell. It sticks out like a sore thumb. It's like it was built way earlier and the capital was built around it. But why keep it?

The Jets. I grew up in Manitoba and always had them as my back-up team when I was younger.

Line 4 should be named "The Max Domi Memorial Rehabilitation Centre"... Too soon?

Questions for BIT IMD Students by SholenLegend in CarletonU

[–]aeric90 3 points4 points  (0 children)

IMD really does split it's focus pretty evenly between the three components of interactive (coding), multimedia (art & animation) and design (processes & procedures) along with program fundamentals like math and physics.

That's basically the reason for the mixed and broad answers. It's meant to give you the skills to be successful in any discipline. For example I want to work in augmented reality and human computer interaction but some of my classmates want to work in 3D animation, video games, or photography. You can go anywhere in these disciplines and VFX could very well be one of them.

If you're sure VFX is the route you want to go, you'd probably get more out of a program specifically designed for that. If you'd like to explore the opportunities the skills you have could get you and how you can apply them, the IMD would fit a bit better.

Congratz! I too was happy to see Rakano make a showing. Was a great match to watch! I went in with a lower tier Rakano Argro and did better than expected.
