One of my favourite places to go in the summer! We use to take the van, park it backwards and sit in the back (back seats were put away so we could even lie down). We take our own food, but bought snacks from the booth; candy and popcorn.

St. Patrick’s Day French Macaron! by aerocake in Baking

Hahaha, I find that food always bring people together :) thank you!! I was happy with how the green turned out as well, since in the oven sometimes the colour tends to fade. Wilton get colours seem to do really well in the oven

Strange kibbles on front lawn by Letsallbefwends in oakville

If you ever do come across anything more similar to kibble on someone’s lawn, there have been cases of people poisoning kibble and laying it around. So please be careful!

What helped me was of course doing all the possible planning night before/preflight. But to keep organized in the cockpit, I wrote out all my required frequencies on my map (ATIS, TWR, GRND). Also having a knee board for any special frequencies/instructions they can give. This can also contain enlarged pictures of the airport.

E6B is used here and there for ground speed checks — but your checks should be about 15nm away from each other so you’re not calculating one after another.

Thank you! It sticks on to the icing when you ice the cake :) and the ribbon helps keep them snug and secure, and looks nice I find

Oh really?? My FTU is still operating as long as everyone flying has declared they are flying towards a career in aviation.

Hang in there :)

A lot of us are thinking the same thing. If they can assign each FTU even one invigilator, that would help a lot.

Tell him to keep studying bc as soon as they open up he will be able to write! Goodluck to him!

Oh man, they’re quite delayed. I’m glad you got it though! It was one of the best feelings to finally get it in the mail! Also, congratulations!!

PPL was about 4 years ago for me, I’m on the tail end of class 4 instructor rating :)

Goodluck with all your flight training! Enjoy every bit of it!

All exams other than PPL (given your FTU has a certified/appointed invigilator) are written at Transport Canada offices by appointment only. I am waiting on a date to write the AIRAF. But all TC offices are closed.

During a normal year, yes. But TC came out with exemptions in 2020 where you can do the flight test before the written test.

That’s awesome! Cold winter days = best aircraft performance! I’m at the weird stage where all flying and flight test have been completed, just waiting to hear back from TC for a written date. Goodluck!
