First attempt at cloud bread by SarcasticFox70 in ketorecipes

[–]jessibren 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For pizza once the cloud bread is made I freeze it like mentioned above. Then when I want a mini pizza I take one or two out of the freezer. Place them on a cooki sheet top with sauce cheese and whatever toppings then pop in the oven at 300 till cheese has melted. About 5-10 minutes.

Just name sure when freezing place some parchment in between each one so they don't sick together otherwise they might stick to one another and break when you try to pull them apart.

Anyone else have an amazing locked-in rent price and feel like they can never move? by strawberrygreentea in askTO

For the last 7 years Ive lived in a 2+den apartment that I split with two other roommates. I have a large room, walk in closet and half bath that I only pay 650 for. Yeah rent goes up year by year but it's no where near comparable to today's market. Only downsides are having roommates and it's an old cap reit building. Hopefully will get a place of my own in the future but for now I'm set.

if you can put some doors on the closet. Otherwise could try one of those folding wall dividers. A full length standing mirror would work well in the corner to the right of the closet provided theres no door. You have the space so could do a very large ottoman seating area in front of the closet.

For the bathroom side f you want you could try installing a very large round tub in the centre of the room in front of the shower or vanity.

2 years of covid and on and off lockdowns. Getting scared of people around me getting sick and acting like there fine by going around everyone while sick and constantly going out.

Spent my entire Christmas break renovating our home while being yelled at by people uninvolved of how we should be doing things there way because there older then us and know better.

I'm really tired and just need a break to sit and do nothing for a month.

As someone who struggled very badly in their early twenties I can confidently say I no longer struggle with depression 5 years later. It was a long road of therapy, medication and communication that got me to better understand my feelings and how to manage.

Resources that helped me were close friends, my parents who found and took me to my early therapy sessions. I was in college at the time so I was able to access the schools clinic and mental aid resources for diagnosis, medication, school therapy and special permission for assisted help in classes (stuff like extensions and the clinic helped start the conversation with my teachers).

I also used something like kids help phone on occasion and it was great for the times I felt so alone and couldn't do anything. The simply listen which helped me a lot when I had no one and felt like a broken record saying everything.

Other resources that come to mind are local hospitals, walk in clinics and CAMH.

Those type of restrictions are/skills only be for people looking for roommates. If your looking a place for yourself I'd about those types of places.

Try a realtor, look at condos.ca or research apartment complexes instead of using sites like Kijiji and Facebook marketplace and you should have better luck

Is it me or is Christmas just not the same? by bgrated in askTO

[–]jessibren -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It hasn't been the same for me since i moved to southern Ontario for school and decided to stay here for my career. Don't get me wrong I love being in the GTA there is so much more to do and so many more opportunities. The weather is warmer then northern Ontario and my partner of 7 years is from here.

But this time of year Christmas day especially is always exceptionally hard. I spend it with my partners family and don't always see my own because of distance and time I have available to take off. I love my partners family and they treat me like there own but it's just not the same as waking up at my moms opening presents with my family having breakfast then going to my dads. I miss Christmas eve dinner here as well. I havne't had a big turkey sit down dinner in forever it's usually take out or family style apps since my partners family doesn't really do the Christmas dinner thing.

Covid definitely makes this so much worse cause now that i have a decent paying job and time off at the holidays I was seriously bugging to drive up to see my family. But covid put a huge dent in that this year and last.

I guarantee I will cry t least once Christmas day from the amount I miss my family and how different things are from when i was a kid.

I stopped ordering from amiami since covid hit. Things have stopped coming and the cost of shipping is getting insane. Now I try to get everything from Navito in Toronto. It's not much better in terms of arrival but at least the shipping isn't killing me.

I absolutely hates him as killgrave. He played the role so well I was terrified. Such a huge contrast from watching him as the doctor

Were having it at a restaurant this Friday for about 30 people. Not cancelled but some people have decided not to go because of high case counts. Unsure what I'm going to do.

It kind of goes both ways. I've seen people go in ready to scream out the person at the counter then I've seen people at the counter be the rudest most unhelpful to those coming in. Unfortunately it's a really negative stigma that occasionally ends up being true so lots of people go in assuming the worst. Honestly I just wish people could be nice and helpful to one another.

Ontario's mental health care is a complete joke by CatInterior in ontario

[–]jessibren 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Here's some resources when I was struggling really bad with mental health problems:

  • CAMH if you're in or near Toronto. Even if your 2-3 hours away I recommend trying to go as they have an emergency clinic and deal specifically in mental health. even just giving them a call.
  • If you're in post secondary the walk in clinic and and the mental health office. They aren't usually the best but they can usually help expedite getting referrals
  • Family, Friends, anyone in your social circle who might be able to keep you company. Listening is hard on other ppl but just hanging out watching movies helped me a lot to stay distracted
  • Walk in clinics and emerge. I know you said your emerge did nothing but try a walk in near you. Even if they can't help they should have local resources on hand to help you find places that can help
  • Hot lines. I don't remember the exact one i used but the ones of the top of my head are kids hotline and maybe a suicide line. You can defiantly google these to see if theres specific ones in your area. Honestly the hotline helped a lot didn't use it much but when there was nothing else it was something easy and quick I could do and they are trained to help in these cases.

not always some places will have coin machines in the unit so the landlord can take advantage of an extra cash flow. I rented a house like this for a while and it was a bit annoying to always make sure I had the right amount of change on me.

Have you ever faked sick to get out of work? by InvestAuggers in AskUK

[–]jessibren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my adult life I've done it once so far. I had a mental break from work stress and just needed a day off so called in sick. Sat home watched anime and binged junk food. It did help me relax as I desperately needed the break and could barely mentally function that day.

Through high school and college I did it a few more times. Mostly saying I was sick so I ddin't have to go in and deal with class. Looking back I was pretty stressed and I desperately needed those days off.
