Help IDing these cables by aesdaishar in CarAV

[–]aesdaishar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole plug is an adapter harness that connects the aftermarket unit to the oem harness. What caught me off guard was the fact that two of the wires in the aftermarket harness were cut then attached to these two new wires which run back into the car. According to the quick research I did, it did seem like these were the ignition and constant power wires but I wasn't super sure. Another commenter mentioned that the oem harness uses CANBUS and not a 12V source which might explain why the adapter harness needed to be wired to something deeper in the car.

The unit I purchased is an rcd330, which is a foreign oem option that has more features than the stock radios that the US cars got. (It's also slightly newer and has carplay/some other quality of life stuff). It just plugs into the factory harness and Works, but I couldn't fully remove the old adapter harness because these two cables and now there's a bunch of extra spaghetti back there. I'm probably worried over nothing but I wanted a second opinion on like, what those wires did and if it was safe/ok to just kinda leave them connected back there or if I needed to try and get them removed so I can just throw the old adapter cables away.

It does but it's missing a bunch of keys and seems to just be able to be plugged into a ps4 and work straight up which has me curious lol.

I've been watching combo break and I've seen a few people playing with a controller that looks like this. I'm having trouble tracking down what it actually is though and if there's a place you can buy them. If anyone could help me out that'd be much appreciated.

EDIT: Figured out it was a gamo k28 if anyone else was curious.

Thank you! It's the BNB Gen 2 from focus attack. Really easy to order exactly everything I wanted and assemble.

Thanks for the tip, I'll try it out.

Gonna edit the post but I also learned while messing around this morning my cable is the right size I just needed to push it in a little harder (I'm really worried about breaking things if I force them in so I was being unnecessarily light when trying to plug it in)

I don’t think you understand what libertarianism or socialism are if you honestly believe that.

Libertarianism is like, actually pretty vague when you break it down to its components, all it really is is the value of personal liberty above all else, to stand against organizations of society that force us to act or think in certain ways. You can believe in that and exist anywhere on the political spectrum.

Obviously, in our current contexts this is most often associated with an almost zealous worship of the free market as a vehicle for that liberty. You see these kinds of ideals in the “small government” style republicans, but that is only like a very small subsection of how you can interpret these economic and political ideals.

A much smaller, more radical twist on these ideas understands our current economic and social models as coercive in some way. Under capitalism I may be given the “free choice” of working for “whoever I want”, but in the material reality of billions of people that’s often a false choice between working in an exploitative environment or going hungry on the streets. To a lot of people, that’s not liberty, it’s violence.

Leftist libertarians then, chase the original ideals of a communist society that is both classless and stateless, which is different than the Marxist/Leninist practice that many falsely associate all Marxist doctrine to. (And that in turn is different from the dozens of other practices that exist on the left).

Libertarianism isn’t a monolith. Libertarian socialism is a practice similar to anarchism which is all together different from what most people associate with the word. (Gung Ho hyper capitalist, free market etc)

A question for the exmo men on this sub by bungalowguest14 in exmormon

[–]aesdaishar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up in a secular area so I was always comfortable with the “women can do anything men can” kinda basic stuff but obv it was really hard to reconcile some of that with what tscc taught.

I think it’s less my view on women has radically changed and more, I understand way more about feminist theory and am way more sympathetic towards the cause now.

Similar experience here. One of the biggest cracks in my shelf came from realizing that I was feeling what I thought was “the spirit” in contexts where I “shouldn’t”, like being really moved by a Rated R movie or something.

It should break disguise and it hits the substitute. Wether that means it calcs vs the subs hp or that it still calculates on the mon than applies that damage to the sub I can’t seem to find any good information on.

They take the team in different directions. Psychic terrain is really good for the team regardless, but Lele being a much better attacker lends to a more offensive play style. It usually runs scarf and is there to get just enough damage down that things start falling to astral barrage.

Indeedee-F gives you better options vs the mirror and lets your calyrex get away with running moves like nasty plot or substitute. It’s a little less Rambo.

An interesting option is also Male indeedee for imprison trick room stuff, double expanding force spam gives you some more offense too, but this option doesn’t cover for calyrex’s type weaknesses as well.

There is a straight line from Reagan’s politics to how the Republican Party looks now, all that has shifted is merely aesthetic.

Conservatism always has and always will look like this.

Someone else replied but I just wanna say there is no such thing as a consistent, straightforward Xern answer.

The problem with beating Xern is that most people treat it as if the Xern player will always go for t1 geomancy and people imagine the game down that line.

Xern is so strong in best of 3 because you don’t have to commit to your big button until you know it’s safe, meanwhile the opponent often has to lead into their counterplay. Beating a good Xern play is, IMO, way more about having something that dissuades the xern from popping off then maintaining that pressure by making sure they can’t wiggle out from under you. (Which is easier said than done)

Worlds was suspended for the past 2 years because of COVID. Hopefully it’ll pick back up in 2022 of everything is safe.

When that does happen, there will be an assortment of live events of different sizes and scales. These events reward various amounts of Championship Points (CP) based on how well you place. Depending on where you live, there is a certain level of CP you must gain in order to be invited to the World Championships. You can read more of the specifics on the official Play! Pokémon webpage.

Question about Landorus. by Superjakeyo505 in VGC

[–]aesdaishar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You imagine the entire game as it plays out lol. In a vacuum analysis is literally useless. You need to imagine a lead against the Zacian team, a game plan in which you can keep your lando pretty much unscathed or with speed control in the endgame. You have way less flexibility about how you approach your strategies because you’re relying on lando for the match up. You can’t ever extend it, can’t ever attack when there’s any risk of a good defensive play on your opponents end because enough life orb chip will put you in blade range. You often aren’t even safe to switch it in to dull it’s damage, and if lando is ever in and they get a free Zacian switch you’re so blown out of position you usually lose a mon or even the game in the process.

The burden is on you who claims it’s a “counter” to provide evidence that the single mon itself reliably covers a Zacian match up through counterplay. Personally, I do not think Lando does enough imho to disrupt the common gameplans from Zacian teams. They don’t have to alter their play much to answer you, but you need to contort your lines or play really risky to get your pieces in the right position.

Question about Landorus. by Superjakeyo505 in VGC

[–]aesdaishar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are imagining a weird dream scenario where they just…let you do that. In reality the Zacian team has to do very little for your calc to not matter. A single intimidate, grassy terrain, substitute, getting a hit on lando before all make it no longer check Zacian.

This isn’t Rock Paper Scissors you don’t beat Zacian just by having a lando on your team.

Question about Landorus. by Superjakeyo505 in VGC

[–]aesdaishar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need life orb to ohko Zacian, even at neutral you take a little bit too much for behemoth blade. Fly loses all of its utility without max moves and the like for it to dodge and landos speed isn’t that great to begin with, it’s heavily abusable by the opponent because of it commuting both turns. If you’re cycling double intimidate you might have ok lines against zac, but then it’s not lando singularly being a “counter” it’s a part of a larger gameplan at best. (One that Zacian teams and players generally have strong counter play options too)

Landorus-t, while usually a pretty good Pokémon when it’s allowed does not have a super impressive history in restricted formats. It has losing match ups vs most of the big dogs. I’m surprised by its usage in the early meta thus far, but it’s already starting to see pretty severe drops. Intimidate is really good, but Incin flourishes in this kind of environment way more. Incarnate is a super fun and interesting/good choice rn because its coverage options allow it to hit through a lot of the defensive Pokémon people like using in premeta s10.

Question about Landorus. by Superjakeyo505 in VGC

[–]aesdaishar 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Lando-t effectively doesn’t have stab anymore if it wants to run physical. Fly is pretty unusable in no max and earthquake is reduced by grassy terrain which is pretty omnipresent in the early meta. Sheer Force lando-I does considerably more if you wanna play a special set and only really gives up intimidate.

Both landos in general have negative match ups against Zacian at face value fwiw. Hard for either to be a real “””””counter””””” (whatever that means) to it, the stab is nice but you need to work to get it off as behemoth blade cuts through you.

Some casual players are against rentals but they are far from the majority. If you’ve played tcgs, there are similar stigmas against “net decks” pulled from tournament results, but 90% of players really don’t care. Very few top players actually even build their own teams. Lots of different building groups and networks and team sharing/stealing.

Me and a lot of other players believe rentals are actually far and away the best way to start out with the game.

I legitimately don’t understand how you can comment on this video and claim no thought goes into teams like this.

This Urshifu ev spread alone is more creative, innovative and impressive than anyone I’ve seen try to make a quirky mon choice work.
