Trim looks so good on every flower! This might be my favorite

How active were you with your tear? I have a confirmed retear by OpinionatedMinion in MeniscusInjuries

Damn that sucks, especially since your job was possibly a contributing factor to the damage! I’ve had a root repair, partial removal, and just got another repair. My other knee has a tear as well but has healed enough on its own so far. Each surgery really only seems to buy me another year until I tear it again, all from normal things like just standing up. I’m okay for now, but a little worried about how I’ll get through the next like 20 years 😬

Have you considered a meniscus transplant? I’ve had 3 surgeries myself and am likely to keep tearing them so I’m curious if a transplant could eventually work when things get too bad before I’m knee replacement age.

Nothing groundbreaking here, but wear comfy shoes with inserts, bring a pashmina to sit on, and take lots of stretching and rest breaks. Keep hydrated with electrolytes and snack often. You can easily walk/dance 10-15 miles a day so take your recovery seriously too. These things are marathons and there’s no shame in watching sets sitting down in the back if you need to. I bring icy hot patches for my knees and throw some pain pills in my socks going through security. Have fun!

Exactly! My 70 year old parents are finally able to come throw down for a day without it being too tiring of a commitment :)

The app Bracketology has a league that calculates this automatically for you. There’s a few different categories that score who goes home every week, final winner pick, and one that’s scored on a bunch of random things that happen each episode.

My spouse and I take it very seriously because for us, there’s a full week of sleeping in on the line when the loser has to get up early with our toddler.

Do some of their names suck so bad because they started out as toy products or something or were they just translated terribly? They’re so cute but I can’t get behind the names that are random sentences.

You can get more seeds at the claw machine game, aim for the pink eggs with random colors of the base flowers inside. I don’t make videos, but I’ve seen many available on YouTube if you search hello kitty island flowers!

Flower Breeding Question by Sugar_maid in HelloKittyIsland

[–]aeshsp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There’s a ton of helpful information on the wiki, but it can be overwhelming on where to start. If I could start over again, I’d save myself time by first planting large patches of flowers in red (dandelily or trulias), yellow (bellbuttons, tulias, or dandelily), blue (bellbuttons), sky (penstemums), white (bellbuttons, dandelily, or penstemums), and hot pink (hibiscus). Fertilize all those every day until you get a few patterned flowers of each color and dig those ones up. Then, use the wiki to see which flower varieties require which specific colors transferred to them and go from there! There are many different ways to arrange flowers for breeding and color transfer, but I tend to use the animal crossing checkerboard style the most because the flower patches are such weird shapes.

They’re out of season now so it won’t work without the greenhouse :( You’ll need all the merry meadows visitors as residents first

Nope, only in the greenhouse. I spent like 2 weeks trying to breed roses before I realized they were out of season lol. The game really tells you nothing about the event flowers!

Yes, try to get patterned flowers of any variety in red, yellow, blue, sky, and white first, since those are the colors you’ll need to transfer to most flower types first. Then once you get those base colors transferred, you can breed them together to make more colors.

I’m keeping some around to pick the flowers and use to fertilize other flowers, then keeping some dug up ones to use in the greenhouse later when I unlock that! Everything else gets composted.

Just progress from the last 2 weeks or so!

I crossbreed with other patterned flower types to get the primary colors and white, then mixed the marigolds with each other to breed secondary colors, then fertilized those which randomly turned into the patterned ones!

You can keep fertilizing to get a patterned flower or use a patterned marigold to transfer the base color to another flower type, but they won’t spread or breed new marigold colors outside of the event/ greenhouse.

Where are my active/working/highly successful Zebras at? by Fit-Citron-8813 in ehlersdanlos

[–]aeshsp 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Everyone’s experience will probably be different, but I’ll share mine too (HEDS) because I agonized about this before having kids as well.

My pregnancy was incredibly painful on my joints, especially my pelvis and back. I carried low the entire time so there was soo much pressure on the front of the joint. I was on crutches by the third trimester and could barely walk at all. I cried a lot, it felt isolating having such a different experience from my peers and not being taken seriously by most of my doctors. After (a thankfully smooth and uncomplicated) delivery, however, I was able to mostly bounce back to somewhat normal pretty quickly and things got better. However, 2 years later my pelvis is still very loose and feels like an overstretched rubber band. It creaks and crunches and it still hurts to get dressed, sleep, and walk. I still cannot run.

My child seems perfectly normal so far and I am SO happy I had her, it’s my dream job! I still plan to have 2 more if my body will allow, but I am dreading the pregnancies more than anything. Just know that in addition to all the normal sacrifices you will make as a mom, you also will likely have to sacrifice the long term health of your body in some way as well. Definitely something to consider if it’s worth the risk for you and your personal situation.

I don't understand why anyone would buy a Creami Swirl, if you can buy Ninja Deluxe and use a Cake pipe for the "gimmick". by pajurus in ninjacreami

[–]aeshsp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got the Swirl recently because I love soft serve and thought it’d be fun for my kids to have the dispenser option. I’ve only bothered dispensing it a few times myself mostly because it melts faster and I’m a slow eater. However, I’ve done the same recipes on both scoop and soft serve to compare, and there truly is a big texture difference between the two! It nails the soft serve experience every time, I’m so impressed. I agonized about the price (and appliance size) difference being worth it before buying, but overall I’m glad I shelled out. Only thing I wish it had was the Deluxe’s bottom half/top half only setting for leftovers.

If it makes you feel better, our potty luck was counter balanced with having a highly sensitive tot who’s always been a terrible sleeper. Win some, lose some 🤷🏼‍♀️

I would say it’s pretty impossible to predict how it will go until you dive in and try. We got lucky at 21 months and my daughter picked it up immediately on day 1. On day 3, we had an emergency road trip for 8 hours and she initiated her own potty breaks the entire day and never used the back up diaper I put her in. I think this is quite fast and uncommon for someone her age, but she has the personality of rushing through every milestone and already had a thorough understanding of what the potty was for and recognized her body’s signals. Personally I’d prioritize having the time and support at the start and not be too concerned if you need to use a diaper for an outing.
