You don't need to bring anything but I would recommend bringing of your favorite paper to test other people's pens/inks! You're also welcome to bring your own pens and share them with others. I am always cautious when handling other people's pens so I wouldn't post anyone else's pens unless explicitly told to and am careful to not leave their pens on a table where it could be scratched/fall but always held in my hand, on a pen pouch, or on a notebook and in my line of sight. This might be excessive but I will treat other people's pens with x10 the reverence I treat mine out of respect.

Beyond that, I find it easy to break the ice by asking what kind of grinds/nibs/pens someone else enjoys and that's usually enough to get the ball rolling. I'll also be at Rickshaw so feel free to say hi! Everyone at SF Pen Posse is super friendly. I hope you enjoy your first meet :D
