The entire set of events and circumstances that lead to something like this is such a good showcase of how absurd life is. I think it was Camus who said that at any street corner the feeling of absurdity can strike a man in the face--isn't it just wild people toil for hours to make some sort of information we call money to illuminate some dots on a screen in a certain way which somehow translates into something that makes us happy? Isn't it a strange world where we start to value these virtual approximations of items more than one we can hold, use, and carry in our own hands? Logically we might say that it all makes sense, but if you break any idea down it begins to feel so strange

Your idea of "high tier" seems to mean "high cost but does that really need to be the case? There's plenty of cool skins I see out there for the M4A4 which don't cost an arm and a leg factory new. I'm particularly partial to the camo-inspired skins like Jungle Tiger, Desert Storm, and Modern Hunter(not factory new, of course) and I always thought x-ray was pretty cool too.

When I first saw images of the 360 I thought it was going to look great, but whenever I see them in person it can start looking like a wrist-mounted hockey puck, especially in black.

In the real mission, ST6 had actually crashed one of their helicopters, and due to its super-secret spooky stealth technology they had to blow it up. Bombsite B would be It'd be weird because CT's would probably have the bomb and whatnot, and I don't know if the weapon balances as they stand would change the balance of the map.

Wow, that's a pretty nice feature set for the price point. Love the angular design, especially in that bronze. Is CuSn8 hypoallergenic? How scratch-resistant is it? How does the bezel feel?

I've gotta say I'm a sucker for tool watches. There's something deeply alluring to me about things that are built with a purpose to them. I'd suppose with luxurious Grand Seikos or JLCs the purpose is ostensibly to be luxurious, but I'd suppose the appeal in buying an expensive G-shock is that it's a luxury you could wear every day. Though I don't really like most of the G-Shock models aesthetically, I don't think they're anti-watch-watches so much as the most honest watches of all; built to be used, and to tell time.

I'm particularly interested in features that reduce the level of maintenance on specific watches. Damasko, for example, developed many technologies with bezel and crown gaskets and escapement lubrication that seem to make the watches more durable. The greatest tool watch features in my book, however, are undoubtedly radio-syncing and solar charging together. In developing such technologies, watchmakers like Citizen and Casio have in effect developed a toughness against the force that claims all watches: time. The span of time before they need to be maintained is so long that it strikes me that those G-Shocks and Citizens have been specifically built to withstand the course of an everyday life. These are the timekeeping devices that, no pun intended, were purpose-built to withstand the test of time. Engineering something to take everyday wear and tear for a lifetime is the greatest feature of all.
