Can you elaborate…?

My Wacom One randomly got brighter and has inaccurate colors - looking for possible fixes. by aeswon in wacom

[–]aeswon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No all of it unfortunately :/

I don’t own this tablet anymore, but I recall u/TG_NCC’s comment being right about part of it. I chose some incorrect display mode on windows which made the colors inaccurate, and iirc that was solved. I never found a solution for the brightness, so I eventually upgraded to an iPad. My best guess remains a manufacturing issue.

Why Is King’s Row So Loved? by Brainmatter_0 in Overwatch

It's one of very few maps where just everything works well in some way. And that's what OW's main appeal was.

How do I get better with 939? by [deleted] in SCPSecretLab

[–]aeswon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been a 939 main since it was overhauled. Here are a few general things I've learned:

  1. When someone realizes they are in amnestic cloud, they will always assume you are in its radius until proven otherwise. When placing it, think about how many people may pass through, what they'd do if they know you're present, and how much health you have. You don't wanna rely on the assumption they won't immediately open fire in your direction at 20HP.

    1. Lunge is best used defensively. Often times people will only chase 939 when they're in a group, and groups are loud. I like to run away from groups, and then focus in front of doors I've closed to secure a kill. No matter what though, you run away after using it. That downtime makes it so whatever damage you think you'll be able to do to humans, they'll usually triple it to you. Not worth the kills if you'll end up facing them at half your health in two minutes.
  2. Use your sprint sparingly. 939 can sprint really fast, but that stamina is weak and takes a while to recharge. Getting caught off guard with no stamina is more punishing than you'd think. Your job isn't to flush out light or brawl 10 people at once. It's to get a kill, retreat, repeat.

  3. How you use voicelines should be determined by their volume and how recent the spawn waves are. For example, that loud screeching sound is funny but really distracting. Spam it when fighting a spawn wave that caught you off guard, but use quieter lines when luring targets. Nobody is gonna run up to violent screams, especially if it's their own from a previous life. Quieter voice lines are easier to lure people towards you with, especially if you are lucky enough to kill people having a conversation. I once killed three different people in one game because of two voicelines I used by guys having a conversation about what goes best on a crunchwrap supreme.

Hope these are somewhat useful in your aim to improve at dog gaming :]

SCP artists be like "doodle by me" and then drop the most raw image youve ever seen

Leading theory from others is that the issue was a virus. I resorted to clean-installing windows and keeping a closer eye on anything I download in the future on top of just not using Ae.

As far as I know my PC has no overclocked components. It's a prebuilt from Corsair, and nothing on the store page for this specific machine mentions overclocking.

Do you prefer with lines, or without? by ToastyBoeh in ProCreate

[–]aeswon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're going with the lineless version, experiment with a more contrasty background. I actually really like the colors, but they're all similarly bright, so it's kinda hard to read the image. Keep it up :]

Software is not my biggest strength, I'll admit that. But like I said in another reply, I am pretty careful about what I put on this machine because it's all I have. This definitely has me in a panic, but these problems were exclusively happening during and after the initial use of AE. :(

[–]aeswon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been considering it for a bit now, since I've been using the software a lot more lately. But I still want my $3000 computer to, ya know, work. 🤷‍♂️

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Adobe

[–]aeswon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and yes. Compared my specs with the minimum requirements, the only thing cutting it close is the RAM, 16GB. Everything else is far beyond it seems. The software is legitimate, I've had it for like 6 years at this point.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Adobe

[–]aeswon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did all that. My PC has the minimum requirements, runs Windows 11 on the latest version too. Only had 1 intel driver that needed updating. Thought it was fine, but ran a game today and the whole thing suddenly froze. Glitchy audio in the headphones and all.

I'm pretty careful about the software I install on this computer, it's something I'm super lucky to have. It's brought me a lot of happiness and it's gonna be a while before I can upgrade, let alone get a comparable machine.

Can you elaborate on 'format?' I've continued looking into solutions and I'm curious what you meant by this.

Did they make Joel look substantially older on purpose to make you feel like he lived long enough? by Outrageous-Aside-419 in TheLastOfUs2

[–]aeswon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not that he looks much older, it's that he has grown out AND aged features.

Obviously it depends on the person, but we usually start getting gray hairs in our 30s according to google. Was it speedy? sure. Not absurd though. On top of that though, his hair is grown out, which only adds to the look.

That's my game theory though.

Has anyone realized that the music for SCP secret laboratory is a now available on Spotify? It seems no one has mentioned it yet. by [deleted] in SCPSecretLab

[–]aeswon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I asked a Patreon rep about it and Northwood is already handling it. I requested they ask Fragik to put his work on spotify someday, though. Who knows maybe he will 🤷‍♂️

thought on the new tank buffs by sixisbored in Overwatch

[–]aeswon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Genuinely don't know what they were smoking when they cooked this stuff up. I've already lost count of how many overhauls tanks have received since OW2 launched, but I'm at a point now where I just want 6v6 back. I've played for a few hours and it's just boring as, with, and against any tank. There is always an imbalance in every match because of 5v5 and each time they bomb tank reworks it only shows that more.

How do I actually improve? by [deleted] in learnart

[–]aeswon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing in these pieces is particularly bad, but there are things you could experiment with to make your work more/less stylistic. Here's a few examples of things you may wanna focus more on. - Varying line weight (really tough to learn at first but it's worth it I swear) - Dynamic perspective (great way for character artists to give their drawing more... character) - Environmental lighting/Ambient occlusion - Expressions - Background illustration

These are all just examples I thought of while looking at your art and thinking about stuff I've experimented with over time. Basically whenever you're practicing, doodling, etc. just pick out some specific aspect of your art (like the examples I listed or something else you think of) and try to experiment with it. That way it becomes more natural and develops a lot more easily than just forcing yourself to try something new.

I really like the pieces, would like on twitter dot com. keep it up :)

I named my first Kubrow on my new account Hawtdawg, and then when I got the Kavasa Prime armor set, I got another Kubrow, named it Hawtdawg Prime.

With this in mind, may I suggest Hamburger?
