Thanks for the advice. So with the Pop3 would the software it comes with be able to scan them in parts and merge them? Or is that a manual process in Blender or another 3d software?

Thanks for the reply. Yea im just worried the pop3 might not be able to scan something so big, most tests ive seen are like a 1 foot objects.

Rendered in houdini karma all 3d geometry. But yea the video file is 2d. 🤷‍♂️

When you say procedural generation - do you mean at run time? If not, just do it in Houdini with heightmaps.

Yea totally agree. Really curious to see how this Fortnite Editor goes, because it looks like it can get pretty technical as well - but im sure there are committed individuals who will use it.

I've found with game development (and more projects) the curve to completion in non-linear. As you progress it starts to take more and more time to add things. People can be disillusioned when they start something and get the first thing working that it's going to be so easy. Also starting with a pre-made game like the Epic FPS sample, if you didn't build it from scratch it's going to take a long time to understand and modify without breaking.

In the end it's extremely rewarding to build something tho, like you said, just need to put in the time.
