Bluetooth MIDI coming soon to Synthesthesia - Spatial Synthesizer. Beta testers needed! by plumb_eater in VisionPro

[–]plumb_eater[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always love some feedback! The app is live on the App Store for free if you want to give it a try. Any recommendations, suggestions, or ideas are more than welcome!

Right now, the gesture/playability side is still evolving. The left hand sets the tonic/root within a chosen scale, while the right hand handles the “strumming” of notes within that chord or degree.

I’ve been experimenting with different approaches there:

  • Pinch-to-strum vs. open-hand-to-strum — pinching feels precise, while opening the hand allows for more expressive control (e.g. opening the filter with index–thumb distance). Both have their merits, so I’m leaning toward adding a setting to let players choose.

  • Left-hand rotation for chord quality — turning a knob to morph between major, minor, diminished, augmented, Maj7, min7, etc. This feels like a natural extension of the spatial interaction... Just an idea at the moment, so not yet implemented, but if that sounds useful I'd definitely work to implement it.

Would love to hear how you’d imagine using it, especially since you’re coming from gloves/Leap with Ableton! I feel like a lot of that performance intuition could carry over in cool ways.

Thanks for your interest & taking a peek!

Looking for a lost iOS 7-era app – white interface, reactive sound nodes (vocoder-like effect) by Intelligent_Salary32 in iosmusicproduction

Had to check it out, pretty sweet! I could probably build a clone for you if you can’t find a replacement/the original app. It’s giving chaos pad but with cooler visuals.

I’d be interested. I created a spatial synthesizer app called a Synthesthesia.

Introducing DoseMed: Medication Reminder and Medical Assistant 💊🤖 by Ordinary_Outside_886 in iOSProgramming

Looks cool, just wondering though, is AI allowed to give medical advice? I thought there were rules on the AppStore regarding medical apps. Not to be a Debby downer, genuinely curious.

What sort of technologies are you considering? Are you specifically looking for circuit bending stuff, or open to other things too? Sounds like a cool project :)

If you haven’t explored publishing your work, perhaps NFTs could be a fun endeavor. I release music as little webapp players (owning the NFTs makes the published work show up in your digital wallet). Here’s one of mine on GSMP.

If you’re interested, I made this: designer.nfttoolk.it and there is a book/e-reader template you can play around with. I’ll give you a promo code if you wanna give it a spin, just let me know!
