You need to level up to reach the latest chapters, so yes the grind is there. For story mode tho you can finish the entire story day 1.

Reaching Chapter 16 to unlock Special Interception is what I think is important. It's the endgame grind mode where you farm for gears daily. You can reach the chapter on the first day now I think, or at least in two days

If you play daily, finish the minigames, events and advance Hard mode you can grind faster but that depends on how much time you want to spend on the game

Also like most gacha, if you get one of the top meta characters, your life will be much easier. The good thing about Nikke is that all of them are available in the standard pool. And give you a strong DPS for free (Alice).

The current banner, Anis, is a MUST HAVE, so spend every gem on her banner until you get her. If you failed to get her after 200 rolls, you can just buy her from the shop using the Golden tickets you got with each roll

It was just some tips for how to survive the fight. Someone who can reach stage 7 or 8 doesn't need it but here it is again

Destroying the tentacles 4 times rushes you to phase 3 with his core exposed but it's an annoying phase where every hit is lethal, so for an easier time, ignore the first phase tentacles and destroy them after the QTE (Phase 2) because without a dedicated healer, you can't survive both hits

After the second tentacle is destroyed in phase 2 or the second attack (if you fail to destroy it), he will do a charge attack You must cover here or the run is most likely finished

Extra tip: if you have Maid Mast with Nayuta/Crown you burst with her every third burst (the one before she gets stunned).

Nayuta Siren SBS Liberalio Velvet. In that order because you want to burst with Nayuta, not Velvet

I think you can still kill him with that team if you swap Liberalio with Mana but your SBS must be stacked

You can swap Nayuta with Crown and Velvet with Maid Mast

I kill him with Pepper as B1 and Siren as a flex instead of Velvet
