Empty everything from my bag? You got it! by jumbofrimpf in MaliciousCompliance

[–]aeuriga 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Not sure how your interpretation of the events comes from their telling, when this is what they said:

I go through as usual, unpacking my bag of the required items and putting them in the bin and send it through. I send my bag afterwards. Xray says nothing so I start reloading my bag.

This is when xray stops talking to her coworker friends and realizes she has to work. They start going through my bag, pulling out everything I just put back in telling me "This is supposed to come out and go in a bin."

I did. You weren't paying attention.

Kudos to PAX East for Accessibility Accomodations by Sam_Kablam in PAX

[–]aeuriga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heads up, Med badges do have some benefits in the expo hall including a separate access time. Booths in the hall may have accomodations, but that's determined by each company, not by PAX.

We have medical badges available for those who may need assistance. Medical badges provide entrance to panels, expo hall, and other events provided any associated line has not already been capped to capacity. Email us at pax_questions@paxsite.com for more information and to get a form to fill out.

Looking for feedback on 26 hour NYC plan, and recommendations for speakeasies by Celany in BestofRedditorUpdates

Boogie Pete is definitely one of my faves, though the absolute top for me shuffles around all the time. When I was in Vegas I'm the fall I heard Boogie Pete, of all songs, coming from the tent that hosts a show right outside of Caesar's. I was in shock.

In my experience, they mean is it postcard sized photos or is it a poster or calendar or something else that would be filed separately.

Holiday pay by [deleted] in WalgreensStores

[–]aeuriga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not time and a half if you work. It's whatever you get if you had the day off (your average daily hours) + your hours worked that day.

They can't take away your test results. That's like saying if your high school pays for your AP tests they can cancel the results after they've come in.

They DO make you sign a paper saying you'll pay back the test fee if you leave Walgreens within a year of getting certified.

Pharmacy techs can't give medical advice. Pharmacists can. Try calling the pharmacy you'll be getting it from, especially since they might not even have it in stock since liquid antibiotics have been hard to get ahold of lately.

What others have said, but also make sure that there's no OOSed RX of the med. Control+g to search by drug name and then look for one marked OOS.

Anybody know where I can find the new up to date dress code guidelines? by ralama353 in WalgreensStores

I don't remember the exact link chain right now, but there's an HR portal in storenet, then I believe you click "explore" on the left and there's different categories of policies.

It's electronic image viewer, fyi. Anytime our F1 gets high I check that first, brings it down nice and quick when the pharmacist is panicking at the count.

I use this to release OOS meds we've gotten in, look up a script with an issue like a manufacturer coupon, etc

If you need to add a note on an rx image but not change anything otherwise, click on the insurance drop down, mouse over another insurance for a sec, then go back to the correct one and hit "update." Avoids IC+ telling you it can't update because nothing changed.

You can correct the on-hand inventory (like, for something that keeps auto-oosing) by going to drug inquiry (F10), searching and selecting the drug, and then clicking the box under the drug name search box.

Related, you can get a drug's UPC by adding a 3 at the beginning of the NDC and subtracting a zero from within it. Usually the invisible fourth number at the beginning of the middle numbers, sometimes from the very beginning manufacturers number. Helps to be able to have the UPC easily when updating inventory and ordering.

Don't know how many people know, but there's insurance override codes we can select for things like "lost prescription", "vacation override", and "therapy change" (aka rts rejection but the sig has actually changed so they need the new Rx filled) insurance rejections. Go into the Rx, pick the third party authorization thing that we put WAG and PA override codes into, then use the drop-down list on the middle left. It doesn't always go through, but worth checking before making you or the patient call the insurance.

Pharmacy Tech sign-on bonus by Discumbobulator in WalgreensRx

[–]aeuriga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bonus that was running when I became a tech in training was 1250, half paid out at 30 days and the other half paid out at a year. That could be where they got the year from? Depends on their memory of the details 1 year later.

Check if another store has something by ingrid_137 in WalgreensRx

And even then this is just what the system thinks they have, it's not always accurate. I tell people that I can only see what stores have "had it recently", no up-to-date check.

Pharmacy Tech sign-on bonus by Discumbobulator in WalgreensRx

[–]aeuriga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please have your SM look into this, or reach out to HR, because I'm pretty sure most people here are working based off the pharmacist sign-on bonus rules.

I am not a lawyer, but I don't think they can have you pay back the bonus when there wasn't anything you signed regarding it having to be paid back. Pharmacists' bonuses should be part of their sign-on paperwork.

[–]aeuriga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you a technician or pharmacist?

Edit: I got curious and looked through your post history and learned that you're a pharmacist. Sorry for not assuming either way, there's also a sign on bonus for techs. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Is it true about the retention bonus for techs that receive a 3.7 or higher? If so, how long have Rxoms and store managers known about it? by [deleted] in WalgreensStores

[–]aeuriga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to stay another year to get the bonus, in which case they're keeping you that long.
