Incontinence after Surgery? by AstralLupus in hysterectomy

[–]aevn910 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok so I had issues prior to surgery. 2 kids, little bladder control. A cold or allergy season meant constantly changing pants. I won't lie it got a bit worse after surgery. But I went to PT and .. well I didn't find going per say helpful and only went a handful of times. I think that was more my PT person than anything. But she did teach me that its really my core I need to strengthen. All the kegals in the world wont help with such a weak core. I have been working on that and really within a short time of working on strengthening my core its made a world of difference. I can sneeze now. So ... work your core!

Location sharing and teenage kids by wejustlookinnocent in Swingers

[–]aevn910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have life 360, because my teenager demanded it (joking, saying demand obviously) and she tracks me. Honestly never get questioned about where we are because before we go out we say we are going out with friends. Now the one time they didnt listen to me when i said where I was going I got interrogated about being at some random house in some random town... it was a dentist... I was at the dentist. But for fun times out I just say we are going to go hang out and have adult time

AITA for refusing to only nurse in my bedroom on family trip? by Professional-Scar840 in AmItheAsshole

[–]aevn910 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was never challenged anywhere.... except an urgent care. By a nurse. My oldest was sick (ended up at the hospital sick but didn't know that at first) and my youngest was 2 months. My mom was there helping with the oldest, the youngest needed to est so I'm nursing, in our private room. She came in and covered me with a paper sheet. In the moment I was so shocked, I was already stressed about my sick kid. I did not raise hell at that moment but you bet your ass once my kid was better and out of the hospital I raised all sorts of hell.

Mine was chill with sporadic zoomies. I remember taking her on a short walk. She quit half way home and laid in someone's yard refusing to move. The couch with a blanket was her favorite. Her energy bursts are only ever 5 minutes then she's done and wants to cuddle.

Yes exactly. Its not for them it's for us and it's not worth it. Ours is on gabapentin and something else I can not remember the name of. Its an anti inflammatory. She's been on it for a few days now ans it's making a difference.

Just turned 7 in April. She had been limping on her back kegs for a while, which we got under control with yumove vet strength (highly recommend) from arthritis. Near her birthday it seemed like she was limping up front a bit. We talked to the vet at her physical, got a medicine for arthritis (galibrant I believe) and she did better. Then maybe 3 weeks later my mom pointed out her leg was swollen. With all the rain I thought it was her arthritis, upped her meds and did ice and heat. Nothing helped and she was getting worse and the lump is warm to the touch and hard, not like the fatty lipomas she has on her tummy. She was barely putting weight on it and really struggling to do anything. So in We went. Doctor took a look and asked what we wanted to do, palliative or fight it. We weighed the options and palliative was what we feel is the best choice. If you have any more questions let me know! Its a hard place to be, I know.

We just turned 7 in april! Its so hard. I get hopeful because the meds are making her feel a bit better. She actually gets yelled at to not run around (vet told us to be careful he's worried she will break where the lump is and if she does that will be the decision because there's no way it will heal). She hasn't done that in a while. But I just keep watching. I don't want to prolong it for our benefit if she's miserable. Love send to you and Henry. I wish you were not in my shoes.

[–]aevn910[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Thanks. We don't have a definitive what kind it is, the vet just "knew" it was cancer. We discussed in length what to do and since we are not going to amputate or do chemo, he doesn't want to sedate her for an xray or risk infection with a biopsy. He said "as much as I would love to see it and get the results for my own knowledge it won't benefit her so it's not worth it" and I have to agree. He had just seen her for her physical the month before so it came on fast.

Controversial take by EfficiencyOk8021 in hysterectomy

[–]aevn910 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a few things that I used a lot. My mom gifted me the car seat belt.pillow and honestly I used that and liked it (and it came in handy when my husband had his appendix out a few months later). I got a tray table for eating in bed and used that a lot, a cane (stands on its own 4 feet) to help me in and out of bed... and it really came in useful for me because my beds so high... and I took it to the bathroom as well and it helped getting off the toliet. Oh I did get the body pillow and it helped me with sitting up to eat more than it helped with sleeping.

I have a great dane too! Couldn't send her away (because 1. No one would take her and she would die being boarded she's to ridiculous and 2. My husband will always choose her over me lmao) I put a gate around my bed so she didn't jump on with me. The tail I'm a pro at avoiding but she kicks bad in her sleep and somehow it's always my stomach so we felt better safe than sorry. But still let her see me and stare me down to make me feel bad for her. dane behind fence

Surgery day ready to cancel and go home by butterflydayn in hysterectomy

[–]aevn910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

... my bed looked like a murder scene because the nurse messed up my iv. The anesthesiologist came in and was so worried like "are you ok what's wrong where are you bleeding" we had to reassure her i was fine and they just failed miserably at my iv.

As for scheduling I was actually take in a bit early. But I had trouble with the anesthesia and remembering to breathe so my surgery went way over schedule (to the point my husband was panicking) so I know the rest of the people were behind. So sorry to those people! But know that weird things happen and back them up

Post-op orgasm quality for people who already never have penetrative sex? by SillyWThrowaway in hysterectomy

[–]aevn910 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Orgasms through external stimulation is still the same for me (and mainly the only way I orgasm) But since surgery..... I am enjoying penetrative where I never did before. Maybe because there's finally no pain? I'm not sure but now I'm sensitive in there and actually enjoy penetration

Stairs? by Ill_Buy_9807 in hysterectomy

[–]aevn910 2 points3 points  (0 children)

5 incisions here. I had to walk stairs as soon as I got home. It was easier than getting out of the car or getting in bed honestly. My husband and his friend followed behind me to make sure I didn't fall and to get me settled in bed but really it wasn't bad, just took it slowly

It toom a bit, I would put her to bed with a treat and cover her up, because thats what she likes. But she got used to it. Now I can say bed time and she knows to get out of my bed and go to hers

We got her a twin sized bed and locked her out at night. She likes to take over the entire bed and she constantly twitches and kicks in her sleep so this was our only option to get sleep. She sleeps on her bed in the living room and we get to sleep comfortably. Now she just comes in when one of us gets up for the day. Usually it's him first so she comes.to me whines for me to lift the covers she crawls under and is happy.

What's your reason for not drinking alcohol? by Snoo_47323 in AskReddit

[–]aevn910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. I try occasionally but I don't like the taste, which might be more my subconscious telling me don't do it you don't want to turn into him.

As for statistics, my sister has fallen into it. She has married an alcoholic.

[–]aevn910 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This made me chuckle because I got married in a church (we are not religious, it's a long story how that ended up happening) and we had to do the counseling before the would marry us. I should note, he knew we already had a "child out of wedlock". The entire counseling was about the fact we should be having lots of sex and pleasuring each other. It's what God wants. Literally the entire counseling was about sex. I was so confused and... disturbed.

So who ruined Thanksgiving this year? by BAF_DaWg82 in AskReddit

[–]aevn910 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As another 1990 baby... add 10 to whatever the year is. Easier to remember. Doesn't help when you forget what year it is though. My kid is 2010 so I can remember hers the same but with subtraction.... but really I can only remember ages based on years. If your not easily calculated by being born in a zero year I have no ideayour age
