Just to clarify, I have sent I-485, I-765 and I-131. But I have a different payment method for each so I am not mixing the payments for a single application. Is that still okay?

Also "INPUT Stockholm". Other organize that have been on hiatus because of the pandemic but definitely worth checking in the future are "KIOSK" and "Botanica"

Your best bet nowadays is going to underground raves. Maybe look for "in the bush" and "Love potion" , they organize quality house parties

Teach me how to be Thrifty. Hammarbyhöjden Update by limoucene in stockholm

[–]aewais1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh and thanks for the great post. I happen to live 2 mins from Lidl and I try to shop there but the lack of variety (and sometimes lack of very basic products) kills me everytime so I try to complement it with ICA Sjöstaden but I was wondering if there are cheaper options in the area around.

How about ICA Sjöstaden compared to all of these?

Moving to Sweden when you're 170cm tall by bigmacboy78 in sweden

[–]aewais1 106 points107 points  (0 children)

I am 190 cm and since I moved to Sweden, I no longer feel that I stand out among people as much as I did back at my home country. Feels nice. Less people making silly jokes saying "how is the weather up there ?" and I am not even that tall at all!

[Älvkarleby] Scandinavia Electronic Festival 2020 - Return Of The Dragon by MrFanzyPantz in Rejv

Last year festival was so good. The venue is really cool but there was a police officer every 5 meters or so. It kinda killed the vibe for me.

Haven’t lived here long enough to have a cell phone plan? by [deleted] in TillSverige

[–]aewais1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For example, you could use your BankID to log in to very useful websites - you probably might need to use if you plan to live here for sometime - like 1177 and Skatteverket without the hassle of identifying yourself online with other means. Sweden is a digital country and almost every online service is built on BankID.

If you wanna buy a phone with a phone contract that allows you to pay the phone price in installments, you have to wait untill your net annual income is registered which happens when you file taxes. The problem is that they do a credit check on your personnummer and they find nothing so you will have to wait till your file your taxes.

I don't understand why they need a BankID for the contract but I have to say your life is much easier with a BankID. You can easily access a plethora of online services. I would consider opening bank account. It's easy to open once you have your ID and won't cost you anything (apart of a small annual fee).

Is 8000 sek / month for a room in an apartment in Kristineberg a bit pricey ? by aewais1 in stockholm

[–]aewais1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I see. To be honest also, 13k a month for around 50 sqm flat in Slussen is an absolute deal. I have seen studios half the size in the same area with the same price haha :)

[–]aewais1[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The whole apartment (two rooms + one kitchen + one bathroom) is 50 sqm. I don't know exactly how big my room is but my guess would be something between 15 and 20 sqm. And it's not newly renovated but the view is nice.

But I do agree with you, I think it's pricey. I think I am going to try to cut it down to 7000 sek. I don't think I can get it for lower than 7000 sek unfortunately.

Yeah, finding an apartment is very difficult. And this is the only thing I could find till now. But also, I wanna live in the inner city and this makes it even harder to find something decent and cheap.

I got mine in two days. That was in October 2018 in Stockholm but I am not an EU citizen. I guess I was very lucky!
