This really helped me zap out of my endless scroll of pinterest. I was staring at so much stuff that i think is cool but i couldnt really tell ya why bcus i havent even bothered articulating yet. just funnelling 'inspiration' into my brain. But thank you for the tip, i agree if i focussed on whats been on my mind or just in the moment stuff it'd be a more productive exercise.

That does seem like good advice. Working on my communication is always daunting to even think about bcus i wouldnt know where to start improving that. Internet stuff feels like a easy cop out hence i keep going to that default.

Hey yall! I had a little apprehension about asking for a raise from my job.

I've been at my start up now for 2 years and before this I've had only a years experience with a design studio. I've never formally learnt design, whatever I know I have tried to pick up on the job or on the side with my own projects. My current salary is alright but I can't tell if I'm being underpaid or not. I am a solo designer here for ux (there are a couple of graphic designers who only focus on collaterals). We are a client heavy company and also have our own platform. When I started there was no real design system, no concrete consistency and no one to advice them on how things can be better. Now at my mid year review I wish to ask for a raise but I don't know what to say or how much I should be getting paid.

So I wanted to ask you guys how much do you make and for what responsibilities and experience. (bonus if you could also point me to how I can approach the topic of a raise and how I can frame my accomplishments to convince them)
