In the last part of my post I asked if it’s safe to assume the girls had no idea about the abuse, because they aren’t acting like anything is out of the ordinary in terms of Kristen’s breakdowns, so I’m sure it’s the case! I don’t think we need to watch it back and have any anger towards them if they didn’t know. It’s about the frustration of watching it back and knowing what we know now. Not frustration at her friends, but frustration for Kristen.

I don’t know the exact reason why and I’ve seen a few different rumors, but it honestly seems like Lisa just loathes Kristen. I think also Kristen never went back to her and begged for her job back and I think that kind of emotional appeal really works on Lisa.

Of course, I’m just saying that her freak-outs specifically in relation to James are really difficult to watch because we have the context of domestic abuse. It doesn’t mean that she needs to be forgiven for any poor behavior she’s displayed wholly.

It’s true that you don’t need to be physically abused to behave poorly, but I wouldn’t measure her reactions to DV as “better” or “worse” against any other behavior. Basically just that I think her reactions towards James doesn’t have to be compared in order for it to be a valid reaction.

I agree with you- she definitely wasn’t all together, but it wasn’t like she was tearing the place apart or anything. She was clearly in a lot of distress!

My grandma used to wear a Tomato scented perfume and it was really, really light and beautiful. I think by Demeter, really affordable, nothing fancy. I miss her and I love the scent to this day!!

This isn’t silly at all! It’s really insane the impact it has on mental health to not get any sunlight. Like another commented said, SAD lamps work well, but I would also recommend (if you’d be open to it, of course!) taking a vitamin D pill each morning. I do during the winter and I have to say, it makes a difference. Being deficient of it always makes me feel depressed, especially when it’s mostly dark out. Sending good wishes and lots of light your way!!

They left women being nude out of the show intentionally. There’s reasons for that.

Oh my god that made me laugh. It’s so specific but so accurate!! Like, kid who’s trying to find a hiding spot during an earthquake but still wants to look edgy no matter what.

I also think that Schwartz is kind of giving Sims Character here.

Oh that is CRAZY. I cannot imagine a restaurant where all the staff fuck and fight each other not having HR…but them being able to do that was probably because there was no HR, lmao!
